"A former radio DJ who was a friend of Jimmy Savile has been found guilty of a string of sex offences against young girls. Ray Teret, 73, from Altrincham, was convicted of seven counts of rape and 11 counts of indecent assault at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court. He abused girls aged as young as 12 during the 1960s and 1970s. Teret, who was mentored by Savile in the early days of his career, was cleared of a number of other charges. He was found not guilty of aiding and abetting Savile to rape a 15-year-old girl in the early 1960s. It won't be that long, considering his age.
He'll most probably die in prison. That's long enough.

I was being sarcastic. Apologies if it was misread.
Some parts of this investigation into celebs have pretty much a mud slinging and lets see where it sticks and hopefully long enough for a jury to believe it by the CPS who just want everything to be sent to a judge/jury so if they get it wrong they can say "well its not our fault"
But if they get a solid conviction then hang em high, but still all the lords/mp's etc that fiddled get away scot free so it's mainly a bit of stuff to trim the lowest hanging fruit while saving those at the top
Completely agree. There'll be a lot of 'elite' people who'll escape justice while other paedophiles get locked up. The elite will look after their own.

No he won't. Hardly anyone ever serves the full sentence.

Teret, from Altrincham, was told by Mr Justice Baker that the 25-year sentence means he will likely spend the rest of his life in jail.
