Those beaches are good, but I've seen many more beaches just as good in Devon and Cornwall.
Worse - so many to choose from - East End of London, Middlesbrough, Blackpool, Hastings
Nice - Bath, parts of London (Hampstead, Marylebone), Richmond (Surrey), Perthshire. There are loads of beautiful places in UK. Loads of duff ones too!
Bradford is a total minging place add Keighley a few miles away and a terrible advert for Yorkshire

There's a great deal wrong with Southall, I had the misfortune to live there for 6 months.
I used to work there for years (and still do sometimes). Some bits are better than others, but there really are far worse places, even in London. I used to have a regular run, three times round the park then along the canal to the pretty bit of Norwood Green, and think how lucky I was to have a 5 mile run in London that was nearly all off-road and surrounded by trees. You couldn't do that in East Ham.

Also 'Blackpool Sands', 'Slapton Sands' and 'Soar Mill Cove', all in south Devon.
Of course, this is a subjective thing.
I know Slapton Sands and Soar Mill Cove well (in fact, the whole walk from Bolt Head to Bolt Tail is very familiar) and have been to Kynance a few times, but they still don't beat Three Cliffs Bay, I'm afraid. It's overlooked by a ruined castle, has a little stream running into it with teeny weeny fish in, the Three Cliffs themselves are amazing and you can camp right above it.

Funny that - most people say Birmingham is shit, but if you're actually from there you say it's shoyte.:)
There's quite a lot of shitpits too though (Irvine, Maybole etc) but definitely one of the best places for sunsets.

Both Richmonds are very nice (though the London one is stratospherically expensive.)
Southall isn't too bad, at least the people are decent and colourful - better than Hayes and West Drayton.
Worst: West Drayton. Truely frightening in the day and night. Just pips Woverhampton.
Best: I love Wales and the Welsh are the best people on earth.

Having said that, there are obviously places in the UK and abroad that are beyond salvation.
