Would you get microchipped?

Following on from the thread about being chipped so the government could monitor you, would you get chipped for your own use?
I went to a talk a few years ago with a woman who worked as a product developer for a big company, and she was saying how they'd developed (or were developing) phones that were essentially microchips that could be implanted in the body, but they wouldn't be released for at least another ten years because people weren't ready for them.
So, if you could get a microchip that acted as your phone, ID, keys, credit card, oyster card etc, would you?
