Melissa Benoist's from Glee are the most explicit, basically hardcore porn.

Don't know who she is, but the fact that she stars in that show that murders songs, just shows that karma has struck as Porn is more acceptable than Glee.

What on earth is the matter with these celebs. WHY have naked pics of yourself!! I never understand why young girls send topless pics of themselves to boyfriends only to be appalled when they are shown around the classroom or put on the internet. WHY be so stupid!!

All over reddit, Twitter etc, lots of private nude pictures of celebs, after a hacker got into their iCloud accounts. Going to be some very pissed off celebs tomorrow, and not a good advert for cloud storage.

This is why cloud services are risky. I agree that a lot of celebrities will not be happy about this at all. Goodness knows what kind of images are on it.

And there's the victim-blaming. The women whose photos were leaked today are not to blame for this at all and suggesting it is is really low.

Oh what nonsense! Everyone is a victim. You are downright stupid to take naked pics of yourself, especially if you are a celeb !! I have never, ever taken a pic of myself naked, or sent a naked pic to anyone. I just do not understand why women make themselves so vulnerable. Relationships often do not last ( Surprise!!!!!!) We all know how the media are desperate for scandal or gossip on actors/celebs. If you are stupid enough to make sex videos/naked photos of yourself then do not be surprised if an ex-boyfriend or journalists gets the pics.

If you are in the public eye, nude pics of you WILL get out. You'd have to be incredibly naïve or just plain stupid to think they'd stay private. Hacking is hardly a new threat, and no matter how old these photos are they're never gone for good. The only real way to destroy a nude photo is to burn your Polaroids. People can call it 'victim blaming' as much as they like, these girls are stupid; in this digital age, a nude photo of you can easily be obtained, and seen around the world in seconds. If you don't want that to happen to you, don't take them, simple as that.

I do agree with the sentiment that if you don't want the photos to be at risk of getting out, don't take any.

But then this leak is no different to someone breaking in to a safe deposit box and stealing what's inside. Regardless of who you are, you're still entitled to a reasonable expectation of privacy.

It is victim blaming, as you're saying it's their fault a crime was done upon them.

That's not the point. At all. These are private and personal pictures that were stolen from these women and posted against their wishes. Put yourself in their position and imagine how violated you would feel and then maybe have a little compassion and realise that these women would not want the masses fapping to their photos.

    It's a matter of respect.
No sympathy. They make millions out of looking amazing. I'm sure the bank balance will help them get over it.

Yes, I'm sure that's the answer to everything! I'm sure Becca Tobin, barely a month after losing her long term boyfriend to a tragic early death (unexplained, NON-drug/alcohol related, heart attack) is just fine, because she just also lost her job on Glee - in which she was a minor supporting character - because the show changed direction. So, hey, finding that private photos of her have been stolen should just be gravy, because she earns a little bit more than the average income. She's not JLaw, she's not raking in millions, but she should just 'get over it' right? Jennifer Lawrence is also, according to you, not entitled to any sense of violation or allowed to be upset - because she's rich? Yes, that's how it works! [sarcasm]

Here's the real deal, erotic photographic and pornography have existed for as long as the mediums have. Seriously, Victorian explicit photos were a thing - they just didn't have ways of mass distribution! They cater (mostly) to men, who are the sex most receptive to visual imagery. These women, who are the victims of the hacker, will rarely have been taking these photos just for themselves. Many will have been in committed, exclusive relationships, and those pics/videos simply form part of a normal, healthy sexual relationship.

The reason everyone is blaming the women for the photos is simple - misogyny. Men will not accept responsibility for this, even if (as I suspect) some of the photos didn't actually come from female-owned phones. It's telling that not a single male celebrity has been targeted in this way. There's been surveys done that prove the majority of all sexual images sent by phone are from men, who are posting nude selfies of themselves in vast numbers. Tell me why this hacker - who must have trawled through many, many celeb owned phone records - didn't locate and use celeb male nude images? Of course - because people wouldn't be quite as outraged. They would, instead, laugh and poke fun, but the inference would be that the guy wasn't terminally damaged by the existence of such photos, and he'd most likely be lauded as a 'stud', if there was graphic proof of a sex life.

The whole situation is disgusting - only because peoples' attitudes to these women, who are body-confident, sex-positive and trust that they can indulge in a (quite frankly) harmless aspect of sex by documenting it, have had privacy stolen from them in a completely appalling way. I hope they find the bastard (and I guarantee this isn't a woman!) and prosecute to the strongest degree possible. it sounds like there is an ongoing thing with this person trying to shop additional images for huge sums of money. Hopefully, that greed will lead to ways to trace them.

Ironic you chose her as she's actually responded quite playfully to the leak (https://twitter.com/becbecbobec/status/506239183544143872).

    Very well said dizzie.

In a way what I'm about to say will sound hypocritical because I've enjoyed the odd leak in the past. For example when a couple of Christina Hendricks photos surfaced.. she denied they were her.. but they were pretty sexy photos. And when some Kelly Brook topless photos on a beach were printed I had a good look at those too.

This to me feels very different. It's summed up really by one photo that's a woman and a guy (i've no idea who they are) stood in front of a mirror embracing each other. That's not a naive girl taking a photo for a bad boy who has then leaked it. That's a couple taking a photo of themselves in the privacy of their own bathroom for their own consumption. Their only "crime" it seems is trusting the security of online file storage.. which is supposed to be pretty damn secure. Oh, and the girl being well known. I guess that's the other "crime" because as dizzie rightly pointed out.. it's not been uploaded because of the man in the photo. And it's a damn good point.. where are all the d**k photos? Because men take dirty photos too. Surely there are hundreds of male celebs who have whipped it out for someone in photo form. Funny how those photos weren't hacked.

This feels very creepy. It's as if someone has broken into the homes of all of these girls and stolen their laptops or taken photos of them hidden in a closet. This whole "If you don't want it leaked, don't take it" argument is putting the blame on the victim when in actual fact the blame should be on whichever cloud service has just suffered a huge privacy breach and whoever has just leaked the photos. If they could get the photos of celebs.. that means they could get the photos of everyone else, too.

I feel for them all. No one deserves that.

Actually, theres plenty of Kate Upton's boyfriend and others that were also stored on the phones, if you get the full package dumps instead of the cut down for the good bits ones, you'll see plenty of dick and cheeky messing around pics.

People are entitled to do whatever the hell they want in the privacy of their own homes. It's an expression of sexuality between two consenting adults. Blaming the women themselves in this instance is the equivalent of breaking into someone's home and chastizing a woman for owning a vibrator. This wasn't a publicity stunt or one of those "oops, accidentally leaked my nudes all over Instagram", this is a criminal act of stealing personal property and shaming them all over the internet.

It's gross, I feel terrible for all the actresses involved. Particularly Jen Lawrence since she's quickly become the face of the whole scandal.

Just like the guy who leaked the Scarlett Johansson nudes a couple of years ago, this loser nerd will be found and charged. If Scarlett's hacker got ten years in prison, can you imagine what this guy will get? And, really, is he happy that he's going to prison for years and years all because he wanted to see some actresses naked? What a complete ****.

And shame on all of you saying it's all the woman's fault.

Yep but the point was there were no men targeted. It's just women.. as always.

Would you have a problem with me putting all your emails into a big file and uploading it to a site where everyone else can view them?

One good thing from this is people might start t question whether these huge organisations like Apple, Facebook, Google have their interests at heart and just what information they have.

Well, that's because she's an awesome person! I'm pretty sure this is the last thing she needed but, in light of her recent tragedy, she probably is like 'well, it's not as bad as dealing with the death of my boyfriend', and decided to prove to people (and the shit who hacked her) that she can't be beaten down through this!

Regarding the lack of men being targeted, like others have said, it's not that there isn't (apparently) a complete absence of male body parts or even faces in these pics/vids, it's that they seem to have deliberately excluded any men who have major public profiles. Many of these women have been linked, going back years, to major male celebrities. Isn't it so very odd that not one famous male face appears here? (BTW, I'm just going off what I've read, as I refuse to click on any of these links to the pictures - I'm assuming if an A list male face was in any shots, it would have been reported). Either they're being held back for a similar onslaught towards male celebs, or the hacker is basically representative of the usual misogyny, and targeting of female celebrities' personal lives. Actually, if there were a slew of male pics, I would be relatively happy that there was a level of equality - and because I'm betting the full force of legal retribution would be far swifter than it is now, where people are pissing around debating if it's the womens' faults for taking the pictures!

In the absence of being able to identify the hacker, I'm entirely sure that Apple are about to be sued to death for this leak! They are the single corporation you can hang a few things on, in terms of almost complete absence of due care regarding protecting the privacy of their users. Whatever their T&C say, I'm pretty sure a good Hollywood-employed lawyer will manage to pin a great deal of the blame on the app they created.
