Robert Maxwell in 1991 made a pretty big splash.

Did they ever find his body?

1997 Mother Teresa of Calcutta died a few days after Diana. Obviously Mother Teresa was insignificant and hardly noticed after the much more important celeb.

Don`t think she was that nice a woman ...well, according to stuff that came out after her death.

I remember saying to my work colleage back in 1997 that Mother Teresa picked the wrong week to die.

While Britain was busy being emotionally incontinent over Diana Princess of Wales, Mother Teresa's passing barely got a mention.:(

No, he was sacked. Black Stig drowned when he drove off an aircraft carrier.

    Sorted it. :D

None of those deaths mentioned bothered me particularly. Not sure what's so 'big' about them. Never really understood mass mourning for people you have never met. I'm still getting over the death of my dog in 1984, that death had a massive impact on me as did my grandads in 1999.

    Whats that all about adopter?.......

Google it, mklass, if you want more info. Basically some cranks think that Paul Mc Cartney died in a car crash in 1966 and was replaced by a look, sound and talent-alike, William Campbell, also known as 'Faul' (faux-Paul!). Very likely!

Allegedly if you look at Beatles' album covers and listen to the lyrics of post 1966 Beatles' tracks (backwards, usually) then the 'clues' that 'Paul is dead' are there.

Usually quoted as evidence are the covers of Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road, the end of Strawberry Fields Forever and another track (can't remember which) that allegedly says 'Paul is dead, miss him, miss him', when played backwards. There's also an alleged plethora of photographic 'evidence' to support Paul being replaced. http://plasticmacca.blogspot.com/2009/09/some-video-photo-comps-of-paul-faul.html

Some people had too much time on their hands and took too many drugs, I think.

    1997 - Big Daddy.

I would argue that Andre the Giant in 93 and Giant Haystacks in 98 were bigger.

    Apparently they did.

It was quickly whisked off to Israel and buried.
