Hi All!
Seeing as I have a WiFi Internet Radio, I would really like to be able to listen live to a Chart Show on an American Radio station.

Therefore, I wondered if anyone would be as kind as to please tell me a day and a time[UK time], when I can listen to a Top 40 Chart Show.

I look forward to replies.

Thanks.

By far the best Chart Show on American radio has got to be, the legend that is Rick Dees and the Weekly Top 40!

Head over to www.rick.com. Think the new chart is out on a Friday. I usually listen to it via his site on a Saturday morning.

I'm sure he used to be on SGR on a Saturday evening about 10 years ago.

Do you remember Casey Kamen's USA CHART SHOW on itv? Remember the sweater? That was way back in the '80's. Sometimes i also love to look for the American chart positions too.

Casey still has a chart - which was carried by KBIG on Sunday mornings, but that station's changed now - so i don't know whether he's still on.

That'll be the legendary Casey Kasem you mean, who also of course voiced the original "Shaggy" in Scooby Doo.

He still presents the AC and Hot AC versions of American Top 20 - http://www.premiereradio.com/shows/view/American_Top_Twenty_Hot_AC.html

While Ryan Seacrest presents the CHR AT40 - http://www.at40.com/

You can hear the shows on many stations on t'net, including LA's KIIS FM where Ryan is based and KBIG which plays out Casey's show on Sundays.

    evangeline007 there's a bit about the TV programme on Casey's WIKI - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casey_Kasem

Born in Memphis, Tennessee and reared in the hills of Mississippi, Jon Rivers started his journey in radio while still enlisted in the Marine Corps. After two years in Vietnam, while stationed near Jacksonville, Florida, Jon spun the tunes overnight at WAPE, the "Mighty 690", whose air talent included Jay Thomas of "Love and War" fame from seven to midnight. When he was discharged from the Corps, Jon went back to Memphis and WMPS to do mornings. He then moved to the DFW Metroplex, and the McLendon "Hybrid" KNUS FM, one of the first among the most successful FM stations in the world. With the exception of a stint at KILT in Houston, and a year at CBN in Virginia Beach, Jon has made DFW home. Jon was VP of Programming of KLTY from early 1989 until August, 2001 and is now with the K-LOVE Radio Network.

The voice of "Brother" Jon has been heard around the world for over 20 years through various outlets including the POWERLINE and TWENTY THE COUNTDOWN MAGAZINE, not to mention numerous TV and Radio Commercials.

AT40 used to be on Sundays on KIIS FM , too.

From 4 to 8 pm UK time.

I meant used to be, because I dont know if it is at this moment. The station stream is so geo located that its impossible for me to listen to online in Spain.

More about the american radio shows :

Armed Forces Radio and TV Service /AFN dropped Rick Dees and The Weekly Top 40 and took American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest.

If you're going to listen to a US chart show, then listen to a station that has one that uses 'Billboard Hot 100' as a sales & airplay track. That's the official chart in America.

Billboard is in the USA (& Canada) as what the OCC is in the UK.

If you listen to a local chart show, then it may the same as the dozens of made-up "voted for by the listener" type that has been the staple of UK local evening radio for over a decade.

I used to listen to American Top 40 on the radio in Barbados on Saturday nights when Casey Kasem quit and they had Shadoe Stevens in - they liked to give shout-outs on the air to all the stations in the US and around the world that carried it ("...on Liberty 98.5FM Stereo"), and I still have the tape I made when Debbie Gibson was the guest presenter. :)

For my money, Rick is a broadcast legend! I'd love to hear his Weekly Top 40 on UK radio. I'd imagine the only stations likely to run it now, are those which are RSL or community, and possibly small ILR. That said, his programme doesn't come cheap.

You could always listen to 96.4 FM The Wave for the American top 10 chart on Saturdays from 10am with Phil Hoyles. But, you don't want a british station to listen to, do you ? Take a listen to z100 for that top 40 USA chart with Ryan.

Premiere Radio Networks Launches "London Calling" Internationally

    Contact: Rachel Nelson

LOS ANGELES, October 5, 2009 - Premiere Radio Networks announced today the launch of London Calling, a new two-hour weekend music program hosted by UK radio veteran and XFM London personality Ian Camfield. The program will debut October 10, 2009. Produced by Redefined Media, an award-winning UK production company, London Calling will originate from London and air internationally on Saturdays or Sundays.

Delivered from the center of the UK music scene, London Calling will feature the biggest music acts in the world, such as Coldplay, Duffy, Radiohead and Amy Winehouse; cutting-edge British music and new artists; and iconic bands such as The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and The Beatles. In addition, Camfield will count down the top five songs each week based on sales and radio airplay on the British charts. Special segments will include "Import-Export," a highlight of the top non-UK artists creating a buzz in London, and "Great Britons," a tribute to artists who have made an impact on the world music scene.

"I'm delighted to be working with Premiere Radio Networks on this new program," stated Camfield. "The UK music scene hasn't been this exciting since the last 'British Invasion' in the 1960's, so I look forward to showing the world just how good the music is on my side of the pond!"

"Being dialed-in to the UK music scene for many years, I'm not only professionally excited by the launch of London Calling, but I'm also a fan of the show!" commented Tanya Juhasz, Premiere Radio Networks Executive Director of International Business Development. "Combining a leading production house like Redefined Media with the incredible talent of Ian Camfield creates a team with a tremendous ear to the ground for all things UK music."

There's a great country chart that most of the decent amercian country stations take on a Saturday morning, not sure who presents it or where it comes from though.

There are three country charts, all them syndicated.

American Country Countdown, which was presented by the legendary Bob Kingsley. Now it is presented by Kix Brooks. From Radio Express.

    http://www.acctop40.com/

Country Top 40, which is presented now by Bob Kingsley :

    http://www.ct40.com/ From Radio Express

    This one is on Canadian Forces Network Radio Europe , CFN/RFC, on Astra 1H (19.2º East) : 12604 H, 22000, 5/6, Sunday 19.00 to 23.00 UK Time.

And finally there is another one presented by a female / male couple of presenters.

Those are actual charts, besides there are some syndicated retro shows concerning country music. Like Retro Country Music : http://www.radioexpress.com/public/content.php?loc=weekly_sr_retro_country.php
