Quick question PS4 on 30" 2560x1600 or 26" 1920x1200 ?

Finally got my PS4, but I'm a bit worried about picture stretch etc. So, which monitor should I use (don't have time to set up both right now)

Dell U3011 30" 2560x1600

or

Samsung Syncmaster T260 26" 1920x1200.

If its the same aspect ratio, then anything 1080 or above for vertical should be fine.

UNless one of your displays suffers more than the other with regards to non-native resolutions then the bigger the better surely.

Will it look "worse" though on the 30" though because of the much higher resolution ?

That's the problem, I don't know how bad a 1920x1080 stretched to 2560x1600 will look.

Both are 16:10 (which isn't ideal for the PS4), I would guess the 26" with black bars would be better as it should be able to map each pixel directly.

The issue with 2560x1600 is that there is no good way to map a 1920x1080, some pixels will be stretched and some wont.

You've tried both now though? Or are you going to wait for all of DS to weigh in?:D

Consoles really are more suited to being connected to a good 1080p (Or 4k if your rich) TV, the strange resolutions of PC monitors isn't ideal.

Yep and 1080 is everywhere so prices are awesome. Go for he telly OP, but in the meantime hook it up to he bigger display, if the scaling look crappy, squint!
