I thought Louisa might have melted a bit more given the fact she nearly died but it was happier than I was expecting, for one minute I thought they were gonna leave it with her in surgery!

You too CJM, isn't it funny how we sought out the forum again this week! Yeah the ending was a little more downbeat than I had hoped for too but given what we've been left with before it could've been worse! I also have never watched THAT episode again lol !!
They didn't quite reconcile, but I would say there is hope for the future. He knows what he has to do now, and I dont think she really wants to leave him for good.
The wait until 2015 (assuming it's coming back, and given the ratings, it probably is) isn't that bad! I mean, we're only a few months from 2014 now as it is. I think we're going to be OK .
Adelie, you sound angry. I welcome your thoughts, but I do wish to dispute what you've said about a "sex fest." You're setting up a false scenario - a straw man - in order to knock it down. Having a look or a touch or two or reference to some physical intimacy is a far cry from an hour-long sex fest. Although if they decided to snog for an hour, I'd pay attention. THAT would be a different direction for the show, and amortized over the 40 or so episodes, really wouldn't be that much sex.

As to your comment about 'straw men' all one has to do is read some of the comments as this series was being filmed and as it aired to see that you are tossing that one at me in a feeble attempt to save face. It isn't working.
