The Ashleigh we know now didn't exist until Toya got her onside. It was the defining period of her stay. To dismiss the extent of their relationship because Toya got the sack is to dismiss the impact Toya had on her.

Ashleigh had the measure of Helen before she ever got close to Toya. While Helen and Toya were BFFs and Toya had been consoling Helen in the bathroom, the following conversation took place in the bedroom.
Toya: 'I wish Helen would stop letting the others lead her into bad behaviour'.
Ashleigh: 'Really? You think THAT'S what's happening?'
Ashleigh made an effort with Helen for maybe the first 10 days. After that she'd seen enough.
