Which reminds me, has anything more been heard of paul the tiny fireman's house, the very nice three bed semi? Since eileen never seems to work these days, she could move into it with him.

I always had a feeling at the back of my mind that the baby wasn't Ty's anyway.
I think they got together rather quickly and for me, they just din't go together in a strange way.She always seemed a lot older and wiser than Ty.
Kirsty is a head worker and maybe she has thought ahead like others have said.
I just hope it comes to a conclusion soon, I'm fed up with it now especially the high and mighty Julie and also Eileen.

You've got a point there. There were posters on here that thought she trapped Try by getting pregnant by someone else & saying Ruby's his...that's why his names not on the certificate, he's not her father. OTTH this would be a repeat story

I always understood Royston was meant to be a bit of an anorak as he says himself but have corrie now decided he's actually an autistic savant (comparisons to Rain Man in last nights eps)

Anyway, I understood that most casinos now having shuffling machines attached to the "shoe" to stop card counters beating the bank like that.

I couldn't really see the point of the others being there and I'm sure the other real players wouldn't have been too pleased about being crowded out with a cheering audience like that and probably would have had the Casino Manager move them on

I read some exchanges here about this card counting story a while back and thought I must have missed the episode when it occured - I gather now that they must have been spoilers!

Whatever Roy's skills and given his high moral values, I don't see that he would have got involved in sharp practices at the casino.

It must have also been disconcerting for the other players and the croupier to have Roy, mid-game, constantly turning round to whisper in his mum's ear all the time.

I remember reading those posts in this thread about card games and counting etc and thinking did I blink and miss something in an episode as I have no idea what they were referring to. Now the episode has gone out yesterday it finally makes sense.

I wish people would stick to talking about episodes that have already aired and if they want to talk about something up and coming then put them in spoiler tags.

I am not sure exactly how Roy does it, but I believe he is counting the number of high cards that have come out and the number of low cards and then working on probability. Surely that would be the same if they were shuffled by machine or by hand.

I think they used to just put the used cards at the back of the shoe which was made up of about 6 packs so that you could either analyse the high/low cards over time or even remember whole sequences like Rain Man. I believe the shoe gets frequently shuffled these days so that you can't analyse high/low ratios or remember sequences as the pattern gets deliberately destroyed by the Casino

Kylie unaware of the boiler not working.

She may be ditzy but come on, run the water before you have a shower. Are we meant to believe she had a shower for a few minutes and it went cold because all the hot water was used up?

How did Faye get in touch with Tim? And why was he grooming her on the net instead of being up from from the start, how did he know her adopted name? Meeting her in secret, then telling her she should have cleared it with Anna, he is playing mind games with the brat..

She is a lying, devious little so and so, she killed Owen's fish, lied to Gary that Owen was beating Anna, told Owen that Katie was pregnant and never misses a chance to wind Owen up and cause ructions. I hope Social Services take her away.

But the biggest SOR is Anna. As if she would invite Tim round for his tea, although it must be said that she invites the whole cast round for tea at some time or other! Then taking Tim's side against Owen. The writing of this s/l is appalling.

Just hope the outcome is they take Faye away, but that won't happen, we will have Faye as a nasty teenager, then a nasty adult, Tracy Barlow mark II I think.

Where was Izzy's wheelchair when she was sitting in the Rovers?

It's magic, just like all the cars on Corrie. Your car is never around unless you need it, then it magically appears in front of your house :p

Well I hope, that like Tracey, she disappears upstairs and comes down with a new head.

The actress is awful, just like her real life cousin Sawwwwfie. Get rid of her too.

There's no sharp practice about it, it's simply a technique to recognise when the odds are very slightly in the players' favour. And to use it means sitting at a table for an hour or more, playing 'basic strategy' at minimum stakes, then switching to maximum stakes for the few minutes you have the advantage.

And if you do win (i.e. high cards being dealt), then the quicker the odds drop back into the house's favour.

Only old fashioned "back boilers" or immersion heaters where there is a hot water tank and a cold water storage tank, with only the mains water coming in at the kitchen sink.

More modern combi boilers work off the mains and if they're not working you will have no hot water at all.

I though the way Kylie came running down the stairs with soaking wet hair was a bit naff, the same thing happened to me not so long back and there is no way my hair got that wet I can tell you.

I don't know much about adoption but can a biological parent apply for custody of a child who has been legally adopted by another family?

No. He isn't the parent. If he has reason to believe Faye is in danger he can flag it up to social services and hope they decide she's better off with him, but it's all unlikely. The whole storyline's a pure farce.
