    Fairly good finale.

    I didn't like Selina's turn.

The Barbara stuff... the best thing to come out of that is that it surely rules out any remaining chance of her and Jim getting married. She's always been a pointless character, so at least this gave her something to do.

I wonder how long ago that was planned for her? Was it always the endgame, or was it a change made perhaps due to the poor reception I assume that the character got?

Maybe she convinces Jim that Leslie attacked her first. After all Jim did arive to see Barbara's head being smashed to the floor a number of times.

Hmm. That is a worry. I hope not.

Given how broken she seems, though, could she really pull it off? I can't see her faking her way through a proper psych evaluation (which you'd assume that she'd have to undergo).

Leslie's whole story about the incident with her and Barbara would make more sense than anything Barbara tried to come up with as an excuse or defence.

Plus there'd be Leslie's testimony regarding Barbara's confession of murdering her parents, which should at least get people thinking, even if it were too late to have another look at things in that case.

She's a crap and pointless character, and Jim is better off with Leslie.

Barbara only has one real purpose in the comics, and it's one that can easily be given to Leslie.

I'm ok with the Batcave showing up as long as it only stays a cave for now. We haven't seen anything about him having a fear of bats at all so maybe this will lead to an accident he has and his fear, which ultimately makes him choose the bat as a symbol of fear.

I was ok with the Selina stuff as well, she's always been a flip-floppy character anyway, who usually does what is best for her so it fits with who she is.

Fish only came back to die because of
Jada saying she wouldn't do season 2

Fish only came back to die.

Selina Kyle, let's remember, is the future Catwoman, and so turning to a higher level of criminality was always going to happen.

As for Fish, the character was good, and I think the actress has made a big mistake. Anyone who can make a character credible in the pre-Batman Gotham when that character never existed in the comics, is onto a winner. But, I suppose Will Smith has so much money, she was only playing.

Enjoyed this series overall, but the final episode was dreadful - the Fish/Selina stuff was actually embarrassing to sit through.
Still, killing Sal off shakes things up a bit.

That should never have been announced before the end of the season. It meant that we all but knew that Fish would die by the end.

    Regarding Fish...
Read an interview where she said that she won't be back 'as a regular'.

I expect we'll see her again. If she was going for good I think they would have done a better job with her in the second half of the season.

Having only just caught up on the last four episodes, the last ep didn't feel like a finale. There wasn't much tension or suspense. A tiny bit of resolution in Fish's death (which I doubt, because she fell into water and wasn't seen dead). Other than that, all I can I do is shrug.

Also, I still feel this show is deeply undeveloped and isn't sure of itself, and the writing continues to jar me. Hopefully, they'll reassess their creative direction in the summer or just hire new writers.

I love it the way it is and hope they don't change anything.

Season 2 airs from September 21st on FOX. No details as to when Five will air but I imagine early October though.

James Frain and Jessica Lucas will be playing Theo and Tabitha - new antagonists, though Tabitha is also a comic character.

Dustin YBarra will be playing a cannibal in Arkham as well.

    Anyone watching on Monday?

Being from the UK I will have to find some other way of acquiring it.

I always wait for YFN's web-download version which takes a little longer to arrive but is by far the best picture and sound quality. Has optional subtitles too so no straining to understand what anyone says in the show.

I watched Season 1 on the Fox Now app via AppleTV, but so far it seems they've got season 2 locked :( .

That was a fun opening episode. The Arkham stuff was the highlight of the whole thing. It seems like unlike last season, they finally know what to do with the place.

Theo and Tabitha are intriguing antagonists and I wasn't sad to see Sionis getting killed off. Loving the new crazier version of Barbara and Jerome had some good moments here too.

Gordon getting demoted/his job back by doing a bad thing was done a little too quickly but I had no problem with Oswald and Victor putting the scares on Loeb though.

Hope Leslie is given a little more to do as well.

Nygma and Selina's scenes were too brief but I do like the idea of the latter working with Oswald now.

The BatCave stuff was pretty decent too, good way of ending the episode, 8/10

Has James Frain *ever* played a character that isn't some sort of villain?

    Ditto for Todd Stashwick.

Watched the new episode of Gotham immediately after watching this week's Fear The Walking Dead.

Interestingly they both had opening sequences featuring Lou Reed's 'Perfect Day'.

Yes, this is the unfortunate impression given. Not only did she come across as highly credible, in a world where millions of viewers knew she didn't belong, but the character actually grew.

I gave up waiting and downloaded a different version instead.

Did anyone else think they'd skipped a couple of episodes at the start? I hate it when they do that. >:(
