want to keep my L broadband(25.00 monthly) but downgrade my XL tv to the basic package from XL while im out of work...i think its 12.50 monthly instead of 24.00....however i get a discount of 14.00 monthly on the phone,tv and broadband package...i definitely want to get rid of the landline though as i can get by using my mobile....whats the best alternative package minus the landline...any advice gratefully accepted.
im trying to reduce my monthly bill from about 70.00 a month to about 45.00.

Bundles without phone normally cost more than with.

    check out http://shop.virginmedia.com/bundles.html for options.

You could have L BB L tv and phone with free weekend calls for £36.24 a month

Or for cheepest option then L BB M+ tv and phone with free weekend calls for £31.49 a month

So thats even less than you want to budget but still not bad setup.

As was stated go through retentions and request at least the same price as the deal for new customers after their 6 onths half price as you should get that without new contract needed.

I don't think that is true. I think bundles with phone are usually a few pounds more than without a phone.

For example, BB L standalone £20.25 and BB L plus Phone M £24.99 - a few pounds more.
