    Big Game

Samuel Jackson in possibly his worst film. A shame as was a neat idea which could have been quite good.

    2/10

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - 5/10

The first time I've watched this in full. The second half of the film is much better than the first but it's still at least half an hour too long (the section where they pretend to be toys in the Baron's castle feels like it will never end).

I'm watching "Burlesque" at the moment.

    It's a guilty pleasure.

I haven't watched this since I was a child. The Childcatcher still freaks me out....

    Sad, I know

    Entrapment - 3/10

Catherine Zeta Jones and Sean Connery's attempt at displaying sexual attraction to each other is awful, and the script is cringeworthy.

My attention focused on that rather than the not very tense heists they carried out.

EDIT: On second thoughts, maybe it was just Sean Connery who was crap in general.

    Walk the Line (2005) - 9/10

Love Johnny Cash and June Carter but I'm sure even those that don't like country music would like this, due to the focus on Johnny's life and not his music.

Fantastic performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, I can see why she won so many awards including the Oscar for best actress.

Couldn't recommend this more, especially if you're a fan of biopics. :)

    Eden Lake (2008) - 5/10

'Deliverance'-style British tbriller about a couple on a weekend camping trip.

Predictable script and dire female lead, however the film is saved by good acting by the gang leader.

Quite good, if a little dated.

"Who conjured you out of the clay? Is God in showbusiness too?"
"God gave you the gift of the Gun. The Gun is good!"
"The penis is evil! The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life to poison the Earth with a plague of men, as once it was."
"The gun shoots death and purifies the Earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth, and kill!"

    Bronson (my second viewing)

One to watch if you like Tom Hardy!

It gives an interesting insight into the life of a very disturbed individual and I didn't think it glamourized him or tried the sympathy angle.

The film is shot and produced in an 'arty' way, with the story taking place in sections, broken with the Bronson character articulating on a stage.

    Worth a watch, 7/10.

    The Age of Adaline (2015).

There is a fine line between powerful/moving and over sentimental pap. This movie is mainly tasteful and I think it deserves it's 7.3 rating on IMDB.
I enjoyed it more after Harrison Ford appeared on screen about half way through.

    The Collector (2009)

Bit too torture-porn for my liking but quite good for all that.

Think the IMDB score is about right, good shocks well-delivered.

That is a good film..yes quite grizzly and creepy performance by Richard Attenborough.

I watched Halloween 3 Season of The Witch last night..yep no Michael Myers..but still a good watch, with a delightful odour of 80's cheese! 7/10 because I found it entertaining :-)
