GotG is a franchise I know diddly squat about but since it's announcement I have looked it up on Wikipedia and kept an eye on the IMDB page. So I like that The trailer introduces them all and that it has a lot of actors I like in it (Pratt, Cooper, Diesel, Reilly).
The trailer doesn't give much away but then it is the 1st one. Looks good. I look forward to this now
Some of that was very pretty, if a bit colour-graded.
I'm sure the fanboys will lap it up, but maybe a tricky sell for the casual audience. A somewhat comedic superhero film could be seen as two half-measures, as it were.
I have high hopes for Guardians but I worry that it will not do that well at the box office because of the fact that the characters are unusual and unknown!
I love what I see in the trailer. I never heard of GOTG until a year (?) ago when MARVEL announced it as an upcoming film. I had no idea that GOTG has been around in comics since 1969! Some of my friends are into comic books and when they talk about MARVEL characters, not once have they ever mentioned GOTG.
Anyway, loving the trailer. Looks like the film will be enormous fun.
Looks a bit meh to be honest. Oh, and does having middle finger jokes and calling people a-holes in trailers a new marketing ploy to get people to think "hey, this movie could be funny!".
Because it failed. Thinking about it again now, and whilst the CG looked good, the rest actually looked just, well, blah. I think I'll wait until it's on DVD.
If we're unlucky, this could be the next "Green Lantern".
I'm hoping that it's waaay better than THOR. I thought it was a very weak film. I haven't seen the sequel yet though. Marvel released the poster for GOTG: LINK

If you thought THOR was "weak" (which I thought was ok), then you really shouldn't bother with THOR 2. It is bad and bland.

I'm actually looking forward to GOTG more than Captain America 2!
It's out on the 1st August by the way!
I do hope some of the aliens have powers, which will make the action more interesting.

This will be Captain America ;p??
I couldn't figure it out!
(Still traumatised over the horrific 1995 train-wreck they call Tank Girl.)

It is Marvel's biggest gamble yet!

Terribly marketed. As is GOTG, I don't know why the trailer took this long to come out.
