I think she said something along the lines of ceasing with the polyamory once she's in a relationship leading to marriage....or could have been the marriage itself. Surely that shouldn't matter a jot for a predilection so ingrained to her soul. So I believe she's probably just playing the field at the moment and 'dating'. That is quite commonplace modern behaviour for the 21st century woman, but hey polyamory sounds so out there and progressive so that's what she's going to call it.

    exactly

I guess the point is that, while she's playing the field, she's happy to be dating several people at the same time. Most people (I assume) tend to date people one at a time, finishing with one before moving onto the next (assuming they're not being unfaithful, of course!).

Once she's found "the one", she would then want the relationship to be more exclusive.

Doesn't sound too unreasonable as long as everyone is aware of where they stand.

You have it : its all labels and definitions.

    The Urban Dictionary gives us:
    "Polyamorous
The state of having multiple sexually or romantically committed relationships at the same time, with the consent of all partners involved."

Notice that last bit- my italics.

Quite a few of my single friends, some of them divorced or out of long-term relationships are poly-dating (;-)) and are not exclusive. They also haven't found the 'one' to give up the search yet, but for someone who is open to the 'ones' (which polyamory is and what Jade claims to be) why should marriage or commitment matter or change things?

Bottom line some women can go out have lots of sex with many different women over a period of time with out being a slag. It isn't necessarily the numbers a person has sex with it's how they go about it. Goes the same for guys.

People can have sex with many over a period of time.. without doing it in a slutty way.

Jade did explain she actually builds some kind of bond up for someone some kind of feeling before any sex might go on.

Heaven knows what they bond over. Their shared love of her probably.

Seems to me that polyamourous doesn't necessarily imply a deep and meaingful relationship just a relationship.

She likes not being tied down to one sexual partner as long as there isn't anything particularly deep there but she just sees it as a stage she's going through. While she's young she'll play the field and when she's older and ready to settle down she expects that she'll want a more committed and monogamous relationship.

I don't really see that as particularly contradictory.

A bond a chemistry some feeling is there.. a genuine slag doesn't much care about that lol That was my point an also Jades explanation of what polyamourous is for her.

I wouldn't say immoral, it's just different, and not typically applauded by society's pref structure of the family/relationships setup. As long as all parties are consenting and communicating all of the time (as I would think strong understanding and talking is key to this type of thing working) then each to their own.

It's never going to catch on as a wider thing, as people generally like the idea of monogamy more, even if they are ironically prone to cheating, so people need not be concerned with Poly folk (if they aren't poly themseleves) as they're of no threat to wider society (and it's so called norms).

She was perfectly articulate. She said she was 20 & not looking for a serious relationship, so she dates & when she she is ready to "settle down" it will be in a monogamous relationship..... Basically, she normal. :D

Actually as you mention cheating seems to be more prevalent now. So maybe more people those people should go poly instead lol

Why can't she just say I'm young and single and playing the field until I find someone I want to settle down with. All this fancy names for it and beautiful souls etc just sound bliddy pretentious to me.

An emotional connection. Her soul didn't take to anyone else. The Cristian connection has just appeared from left field.

What Cristain connection though one clip on BOTS of a few of them in the bath and one hug on the sofa. That doesn't add up to any thing so far. And we know BB's idea of steamy clips is very often well exaggerated.

May well be exaggerated, all I can say is that I'm usually fairly intimate with people I sit on in a bath.

Anyway what I'm getting at is that for someone who professes to be so open to emotional connections she pretty much cut and shut everyone but Nick from first meeting them (her words not mine).

He slid down behind her in that bath clip on BOTS according to BOTS Rylan said she did leave shortly after that. Even they know there making a big deal of nothing really.

Well open doesn't mean open to all no matter what. Shes already explained that earlier in the series i recall.

I don't even care about the sexual side of her relationships, I take issue with her declaring every chance she gets about her beautiful soul and openness of mind which pretty much closed the door on nearly everyone in the house (male and female) made judgments on them and is now wallowing in self pity and blame gaming.

So no one has made snap judgments on her too then. It could well be that way round too or as well.

Usually with these things it works both ways. Yes it may well be Jades fault some times. But i also see it's others fault as well others have made quick judgments about her too.
