Sorry, not getting it. Your beloved child has died, and you're distraught (at least, I think that's what she was portraying), do you then go and swap it for a random other? (Setting aside that it appears to be twice the size).

I haven't been affected that much. Maybe because tragic roonie is so overused it's boring and this is a cheap ratings grabber

That's a good point - I feel a lot of people, me included, reacted to this story by going "what, to Ronnie? AGAIN?".

Wonder what reactions would have been if it was Kat and a different character?

That wasn't as harrowing as I was expecting, I suppose the PC Brigade got what they wanted.

I have read of mothers having numerous miscarriages - courtney cox is a famous example 4 or 5 as I recall, thankfully on her last attempt one of her twins survived.

People have to remember this is fictional and no babies were harmed in the making of this episode.

It's a soap... and I thought it was well done actually. She's obsessed, she chooses to only hear the baby crying.

If you say so, against the background of all the fireworks going off around NYE until about 3 in the morning.

I liked all the fun bits in the pub with Tanya, Jane, Zainab and Kim etc

We could've just had a happy New Years for once?

    No Auld Lang Syne?!

Upsetting but not quite as disturbing as I was expecting. A good thing?

Nope. I was just about to start a thread too but saw this. All that hype for nothing! Can't knock it yet though as it's only just getting started.

But no, I didn't rate it either! I thought I would've ended up in tears but nup.

EastEnders is getting more and more depressing, and I still watch in the hope it'll improve.

That baby must have powerful lungs!

    It's Kat's child after all ...

or shall I say, it was. :D

I was expecting more going by all the press attention it got.

Very far-fetched (window open on a freezing cold night, fireworks going off yet she hears him crying, back door open, etc) but Samantha did good. I think Jessie will be the star in all of this.

Good acting from whoever plays ronnie. You could actually see her losing the plot more and more when she found the dead baby.

Poor Ronnie :( Sam was brilliant, see it wasn't that bad for all them people moaning about it, you were going to see a close up of the baby. I liked how the done that episode, one of the best this year, and there so many ones lol.

Can't wait till tomorrow, poor Kat though. Very well written and act.

    10/10

Oh and the fireworks were wicked :D

Sam Womack was good but I just didn't think it was done that well.

I liked the fun stuff in pub with Tanya and Jane and Kim etc tonight though, was nice to see some happiness...
