Xperia x10 mini micro sd card problem

I bought a Sandisk 8gb micro hcsd card and inserted it into the fone but I keep getting a message telling me the sd card has been removed wen it hasnt. I hae the same probs with a 4gb micro hcsd card. HELP !

    First and foremost make sure that the Xperia X10 supports SDHC cards rather than standard SD.

    Yeah the x10 mini is compatable with HCSD upto 16gb but the message I get is 'sd card unexpectedly removed' wen it hasnt been
