The red hair is white by night

The young lad has his (horrific) bleached wire mop dyed red during the day, which actually looks better than the blonde - lets face it it couldn't be worse. Then at the end of the show he's in bed and it's whet again.

Did I miss something or are they blatantly screwing with the continuity?
