I have a soft spot for Licence To Kill from Gladys Knight but I think as the film itself was one of the less remembered ones it doesn't get mentioned much. It did get to No.6 in 1989 though
All Time High was great. Shame it didn't do better, but I think that the Bond film (it was Octopussy?)- that it came from was a flat and tired effort
It's my favorite Bond song. Beautiful and so underrated. Mark Wahlberg sung this badly on the movie of Ted and got booed in the film It was a very funny scene in the film.
I saw an episode of Pointless the other day and was shocked when the two hosts stated that they thought 'Goldeneye' was the worst Bond theme ever recorded. I think it's brilliant. If you strip away Tina I think the instrumentation is fantastic.
Die Another Day is another favourite of mine. Similar to Goldeneye, If you strip away the vocals and the jaggered electronic bits and the orchestration underneath is brilliant. She should have released an orchestral version.
Although i am a massive Madonna fan and it may sound biased, but i think the tune she did was very good. It seems to be really looked down upon and viewed as awful, but i think it's a great tune.
The Living daylights, very much of it's time, but still recognisable as 'Bond', I remember being shocked when 'You know my name' didn't contain the name of the movie! Thought them was the rules!

Love that song. Also really liked Licence to Kill and Nobody Does it Better.
Madonna's song is really good too.
Some great archive performances in the recent BBC4 ...Sings Bond (still on iPlayer). The Jones in vintage panty-tossing hip-swivelling mode. And Lulu had a cracking voice!

Yes, and in my opinion it was much better than Lulu's.
I think it would have worked well.

Which contains another great piece within the film, We Have All the Time in the World, sung by Louis Armstrong.
Portishead's All Mine is best Bond-theme-that-never-was (esp the Tom Jones version)
Big fan of Soundgarden. Obviously not commercial or Bond sounding enough.
Quite Like Garbage - The World is Not Enough.

I'm a Madonna fan but I think she got a bum deal with DAD I think it's awful.
I think Madonna would have made a better Bond theme if she'd made it in the 80s or 90s.
This.
Theme to the second Bond film. It's largely been forgotten now but a big hit in its day..
