I worked front of house in a theatre for a few years and the most common was Sue Pollard and the rudest people Cannon & Ball! I was devastated as they were childhood heroes!

The nicest people were Sonia, Bobby Davro and surprisingly Darren Day.

    Here's the Cilla thread:

    http://www.pprune.org/cabin-crew/300180-who-your-nicest-celebs.html

    She sounds dreadful from that!

I did meet Darren Day once too but he wasn't a very happy bunny, in fairness he was about to go into an education class for people who'd drunk driven who were in the same office as me.

All the staff there said he was nice though, which under the circumstances is good.

I also bumped into Richard Wilson in Marks and Sparks a few weeks back. I recognised him but just thought he bore a bit of a resemblance as I couldn't think what he would be doing 'ooop north' where I am. He was chatting to a man outside and when I looked at him again after he came in he really scowled at me. Turns out he was directing a play at our local theatre.

I don't know if he was really grumpy though, maybe after all the years of playing Victor Meldrew his face is just like that!

I think other comedians don't like McIntyre because he's a mainstream success - they all have massive egos and have to be outdoing each other all the time

One of my friends won a VIP visit to the Corrie set. She was helicoptered in, with a champagne reception, and got backstage priveledges, and was able to mingle escorted with the cast and watch a few scenes being shot.

Everyone was really freindly, except for the woman who plays Rita Fairclough! She was a right snotty cow, rude, very self-important, and wouldn't speak to any of the people involved with the VIP set tour. Though I'm told she is charm itself when the camera is on her in interviews or PR stuff.

No need to be like that - she aint no Helen Mirren! She's on Corrie! Irony is, Helen probably would have been much more accommodating.

Cilla Black is apparently a witch off camera.
    Anthony Cotton

    Anymore.......

Cilla Black up her own **** worked with a lovely man who delivered a new car to her, knocked on the front door and was told in no uncertain terms by her tradesmans entrance was at the back !!! Kept the bouquet of flowers which the company sent, for his wife.

A few not-so-nice ones I've come into contact with via work:

Aled Jones is just horrid, a rude, full of himself, arrogant pig. He's like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth when the camera is turned on though.

Former Magpie/ CITV/ Talk Radio presenter Tommy Boyd is a two-faced bully who wasn't particularly well liked by many of his colleagues, particularly when he returned to talkSPORT the second time around. A lot of people who've worked with him don't like him at all. I've experienced his rudeness first hand.

Sky cricket presenter Charles Colville is also a nasty piece of work. He's the only member of the Sky cricket team I don't like as a person, and I include the sometimes-prickly Sir Ian Botham in that.

Kylie Minogue was so nice when I met her backstage at these Millenium awards... My uncle got tickets backstage as he was working there... Myself and 4 of my friends were there and she was suprisingly so nice.. Stopped for a good 10 minutes talking and taking pictures when she was suppost to go on stage.. I never liked her until that day.. Lovely woman :)

On the other hand...the BOLLYWOOD actors and actresses were soooooo up themselves... and SHILPA SHETTY was nothing like she was on Celebrity Big Brother... I asked her for a photo and she said "hold on" rudely and continued laughing and joking with her friends... like mocking us because we asked her for a photo (this was in the year 2000)....

My mum's best friend is a fairly high profile actress (I'm not saying her name though!) and she worked with Alan Davies a while back. He's a weird crush of mine and I was incredibly disappointed to learn that he was aloof, self obsessed and not even remotely like he is on QI. Apparently the make-up girls hated him, which is a good way of telling who is nice and who is not.

She's worked with a range of Hollywood actresses too, of which Nicole Kidman was very stuck up, wouldn't acknowledge the other actors and spent the whole time in her trailer.

However Julia Roberts and Kate Winslet were very nice apparently

I was in a lift with Cilla Black at the London Boat Show a few years ago. If looks could kill I would have shrivelled up on the spot!

I just LOVE this thread but unfortunately I have not met anyone famous. Cilla Black sounds GHASTLY. What a disappointment!! The story of the man from the car company being told to use the back entrance is dreadful, especially in this day and age!! Good God, who does she think she is!!!!!

I think he is hilarious, just love him. He is witty and never dirty or smutty at least on all the shows I have seen on TV.

No one famous as such, but the actor Mark Frost, who I used to fancy years ago on the Bill and Doctors.
I have sent him several fan letters over the past two years requesting an autograph/signed photo but he never replies. I contacted his agents who said they passed on the letters but "he dosent do requests or replies".
    Charming.
On a horror film dvd I bought a while back on the extras the crew were laughing at him behind his back [he was being made up as a devil-like monster] because he was so pretentious and felt he was "all that".
Hes gone to look really old lately.

Who is Mark Frost? I'm a Bill fan, but can't remember him. His photo isn't on IMdb.

Met Ian Botham several times as he stayed in hotel I used to work in - sometimes a bit grumpy - generally ok and approachable. His wife was fierce though!

Fiona Phillips in her GMTV days also stayed several times - I didn't like her on tv - still don't but she was lovely , very friendly and chatty and not at all stuck up as I expected her to be.

A good friend of mine was working (as a musician) at the recent Help for Heroes concert. He's a massive fan of Michael McIntyre and after the show there was a bit of a party in the bar, MM was there and my friend approached him and was told to "**** off". Friend was really shocked at how horrible MM was and it's put him right off him. He said everyone else was really nice, especially Rhod Gilbert who bought everyone drinks and kept them in hysterics all night.

Victoria Beckham. I know many people who have said they don't like her, but can't put their finger on why.

Well, my ex-flatmate worked in Gucci several years ago. The shop was closed early and she was told to stand at the till and keep quiet. Victoria came in with an assistant. The Senior shop girl, who dared to ask her when she picked up a garment if she wanted it put in the changing room, was ignored. Instead, Victoria turned to her assistant and whispered something. The assistant then spoke to the shop girl and said "yes"!!

After that Victoria continued to whisper to her assistant who in turn would speak to the shop girl assigned to them. She didn't speak at the till, just stood there glaring at my friend while her purchases were wrapped.
