Just wondering because not many people seem to these days.

We only eat round the table at Christmas, or sometimes if there are guests round.

(And of course when we go out to eat).

Do you eat at the table?

Always. Mind you, I'm generally reaching over my plate to type on the keyboard as my computer sits on the table as well.

I really must get around to putting it back in the other room.

Always. We lay the table with a tablecloth and mats and set the cutlery out too. Only for dinner though and lunch if we have visitors.

Every Sunday (and sometimes Saturday night depending on what is for dinner) we eat as a family, otherwise I just sit in my room and have dinner. Parents tend to eat together at the table.

Not often. I do sometimes sit and have a coffee there, dining room looks over the garden.

We tend to eat our evening meal in front of the tv.

I cant eat properly if its not at the table. If i have my plate on my lap i have it sliding everywhere, even if i use a tray. Its just so uncomfortable hunched over your plate, id rather sit comfy at the table with my food safely infront of me! Even if the rest of my family are sitting on the couch eating i will sit at the table on my own because i just cant do it!

We didnt used to as we didnt have a dining room, however our new house does have a dining room so we use it every day.

Yes we put out place mats and coasters and cutlery
in actual fact since I have been eating sitting up at a proper table my gastric reflux has got a lot better.

I don't at home usually, as I just haven't got the space. I do have a table, but most of the time it's folded back and in a corner. I get it out for special occasions. My parents always eat at table though, and always with a table cloth and so on in the evenings. I would if I had a family, I think it would be quite important to me. I also would if I had a bigger house with room for a dining room or for a table in the kitchen, because it is a lot more comfortable.

At home always. Whole family sits down for dinner together every evening.

At uni, we have a horrible weird bench thing in the kitchen as a table so I tend to take food to the bedroom or lounge.

I way prefer eating at a table, I like spending time as a whole family every day together.

Yes all meals at the table, table cloth and napkins. Bit old fashioned I guess but we like it.

I have two dining room tables. Eating with a tray on laps is a filthy habit. I don't know why people do it.

Yes, with my Dad and brother each night for dinner. Mum normally doesn't because she eats different stuff to us. I don't think i'm trusted enough to eat food around the house :(

Because they don't have a dining table/room for one?
