Hull City v Manchester United - TBA and Alvin Martin
It was Graham Courtney reporting alongside Alv at the KC for talkSPORT today.
Additionally, I think talkSPORT may have had a reporter at a second Guinness Premiership match this afternoon - the Harlequins v Wasps game at Twickenham - although I was out so didn't catch any of the reports.
Sports newsreader Lisa O'Sullivan said there would be updates during an earlier bulletin although didn't name the reporter, as she did with her station colleague Andrew McKenna at Irish, so I'm guessing whoever was there was one of the Talking Rugby regulars.

Interesting as that makes Andrew McKenna as reporting for both talkSPORT and BBC Radio London this afternoon

There's nothing particularly unusual about that (other than it was a talkSPORT contracted employee in Macca, who I've not heard covering rugby for years) - as both talkSPORT and BBC Radio London are among the stations that take reports from a company called Talking Rugby, who provide syndicated updates from various domestic and international rugby union matches including those in the Guinness Premiership.
Here's a couple of posts from the Radio Sports Commentators and Reporters thread which provide more information on this - here and here.
Out of interest, does anyone know who talkSPORT/Talking Rugby's reporter at Harlequins v Wasps was yesterday?

I know this is going back a bit, but I was reading the Team Talk 252 Wikipedia page and it says:
TEAMtalk 252 aired coverage of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan providing unofficial off-tube commentary of matches, with an unknown commentary team, involving England and the Republic of Ireland in addition to the knockout stages. This was despite the fact that BBC Radio Five Live held the broadcast rights to the tournament, and talkSPORT also provided unofficial coverage.
I used to listen to the channel a lot for the short time it was on (March to July 2002) and remember the unofficial world cup commentaries, but who were the commentators for it as I can't remember that?! Can anyone remember that far back??
Ross Browning would have done quite a few games too, and perhaps George Riley also as he was there at the time.
They had quite a decent listenership, if not the money...

A wonderful station that briefly lit up the airwaves. Some well-known names there who are still broadcasting. I wonder where the rest are.
Seeing as this page has taken a nostalgic turn, as we are coming up to talkSPORT's tenth anniversary (January 17th), would any of you who keep radio commentary details from a few years back (IanFergus, RobinCarmody perhaps?) have a list of reporters used on a typical Saturday Football First show from early 2000? I'd be interested to see how their reporting team back then compares to that of today's Matchday Live.
I received a copy of the book Ten Years of talkSPORT over Christmas, and from what I've read in that combined with what I already know, talkSPORT's football commentary/reporting team from its first year or so would have included:
Those now working in TV as commentators/reporters - Alan Parry, Jon Driscoll, John Anderson (all now with Sky Sports), Martin Fisher, Steve Bower (both BBC), Dave Roberts (ESPN in America/Asia), Tony Lockwood, Richard Kaufman, Mark Tompkins, Tim White (UEFA/freelance), Gigi Salmon (Chelsea TV), David Craig, Jonathan Beales and Nick Johnson (Sky Sports Soccer Saturday).
Those still working for the station to this day - Andrew McKenna, Andy Clarke, Dom McGuinness, Geoff Peters, Graham Beecroft, Jim Proudfoot, Mike Bovill and Nigel Pearson.
Also - Chris Cooper (now Key 103), Claire Furlong, Joe Holland and Neil Henderson.
I'm sure I've missed a few out, so if anyone has any additions to the early talkSPORT reporters line-up, feel free to post them.
If someone who keeps lists of football coverage from years gone by has one - I'd be really interested to see a commentator/reporters list from a typical Saturday Football First list from talkSPORT in 2000ish.
One TalkSport reporter that seems to have been airbrushed from history is Eamonn Watson in the North-West.
Yes, I wonder what happened to him?
I think he started reporting for talkSPORT a little while after their start date (from around 2003/04ish), and I don't think we've heard him on the station since Football First was superseded by Matchday Live in 2007/08.
A shame as he was a cracking reporter IMO, really good at the considered full-time reports TS used to do at the start of the Saturday Final Whistle phone-in during his spell with the station.
Other former talkSPORT reporters include - Dan Walker (now the host of BBC1's Football Focus, reported under his real name and later as Tom Wilson), Paul MacDowell, Geoff Owen (returned to Beacon as a West Brom and Walsall correspondent but has disappeared this season), Jarred Young (RIP), Guy Swindells, Ian Beach (now Today FM), Sam Matterface, James Haddock (both Sky Sports News), Rod Studd (now a Sky Sports darts commentator), George Riley (Five Live) and Lawrie Madden (the Guardian).
Ian, sorry to pester you but by chance would you have some form of reporters list from a show during the early years of talkSPORT?
Middlesbrough v Bolton Dave Roberts (Sat) Newcastle v WBA Tim White (Sat) Southampton v Man City Andy Clarke (Sat) West Ham v Birmingham Andrew McKenna (Sat) Wolves v Sheff Utd Nigel Pearson (Sat) Bradford v Preston Jeff Owen (Sat) Derby v Walsall Geoff Peters (Sat) Rotherham v Portsmouth Nigel Johnson (Sat) Watford v Brighton Jarryd Young (Sat) Grimsby v Reading Simon Dolan (Sat - Sky) Sheff Wed v Burnley David Craig (Sat) Stoke v Crystal Palace Eamonn Watson (Sat) Arsenal v Sunderland Andy Clarke (Sun) Blackburn v Tottenham Eamonn Watson (Sun) Fulham v Charlton Joe Hollands (with commentary in the London area by Graham Beecroft and Ray Houghton) Liverpool v Chelsea ? I imagine the missing co-commentator would have been Alvin Martin, as Jim and Alv were the regular talkSPORT commentary team at that time.
Without meaning to sound cheeky/rude (I'm going by the "don't ask, don't get" principle), would you have anything like that from a bit earlier?
Just a thought on TEAMtalk 252 - my abiding memory of the station is of reading one of their pre-launch press releases where station boss Bill Wilson claimed they were "putting their tanks on talkSPORT's lawn" and would "blow talkSPORT out of the water".
It was unfortunate as, being younger and very enamoured with talkSPORT (which was so strong in those days - Brazil and Parry were in their pomp on the Sports Breakfast, you had a fresh-sounding Hawksbee & Jacobs at drive and excellent shows like Football First in Europe and Football First, Second and Third in the evenings) at the time, that combined with its poor LW frequency put me off TEAMtalk from the beginning. Looking back, I wish I'd have given it more of a chance to impress.
These days, with IMO the steady decline of both talkSPORT (UTV years) and Five Live, a station like TEAMtalk 252 would be very welcome on the radio scene.
If they were around today, for a start they would surely do the kind of Saturday Around the Grounds show talkSPORT used to specialise in.
If done well, that alone would gain my listenership on Saturday afternoons when I'm not at a game myself.

That's magic Ian, that would be the line-up from the last ever Talk Radio Football First and the first ever Saturday version of the show on talkSPORT.
For anyone reading and wondering why most of those reporters are from IRN, I think it would be because talkSPORT didn't actually get Premier League reporting accreditation themselves until the start of the 2001/02 season.
Interesting to see Ian Abrahams, who debuted as a talkSPORT reporter in 2004 I think and now has a notable presence, appearing via IRN.
Thank you very much for taking the time to pick those out from your archives, it is very much appreciated.
I'm not entirely sure but I think it had something to do with how he was working for other broadcasters, including the BBC on regional news programme North West Tonight, while he was reporting for talkSPORT.
He reported for talkSPORT as Dan Walker during the 2002/03 season, and then had a second spell as Tom Wilson during 2004/05.
That season talkSPORT had Carling Cup commentary rights, and on one matchnight I remember hearing them cross to him for commentary on a Manchester City match he'd been reporting on that had gone to extra-time after the game they'd originally covered had ended.
Dan mentions the pseudonym in this interview - here

A wonderful station that briefly lit up the airwaves. Some well-known names there who are still broadcasting. I wonder where the rest are.
