Les Battersby - "on tour"????!!

I watch Corrie religiously - but maybe I missed something when I nipped out to make a brew or point Percy at the porcelain one evening.

Which is why I'm baffled by the explanation used to explain the absence of Les Battersby following Bruce Jones' sacking (errr .. sorry - "leaving by mutual consent").

He's supposed to be "on tour".

What "tour"???

Has he suddenly discovered a hitherto unknown musical talent and joined a band? :confused: (Vernon being "on tour" I could understand)

Has he become a Status Quo groupie? :confused:

Is he on a coach tour with a load of OAPs??? :confused:

Is there a proper explanation for this "tour"? Or have the scriptwiters just come up with it and provided no further details?

    Bruce Jones might. But not his alter-ago Les (AFAIK).

    If I remember rightly he is a roadie for a band that he met one night. I think they used that for when they were unsure whether Bruce was coming back or not.

    Weren't they called ZZ Top of The Morning of some such other crud?
