I've never been dead, but I imagine being that way for a couple of days would be a bit more than just "bad". Coming back to life after a good kip is hard enough sometimes. Coming back to life in a cave after being dead and badly injured? I'd rather not imagine.
But he was God or a bit of God or a third of him, anyway, he could just click his fingers and there would be know pain, We are talking about the most powerful being in the universe, why would he feel pain.[/QUOTE]
You don't seem to grasp the Biblical teaching here. He became human and he bowed to the will of God? At least have an educated Biblical standpoint, if you wish to start a thread of this kind
Or that the Everlasting had not fixed. His canon 'gainst self-slaughter! O God, God ! How weary, stale, flat, and unprofitable. Seem to me all the uses of this world!
Sorry...I thought in this particular myth Jesus, God and the holy spirit were all part of the same thing. So Jesus existed at the beginning of time. Jesus was just God in human form.
So there was no real sacrifice or real pain. it was all an act perpetrated by a very strange imaginary being. Sending down part of yourself and then manipulating a load of humans into killing it and then saying we are all forgiven! What was the point. Why not just stick your head through the clouds and say he was letting us all off for eating the apple.
There is nothing that anyone could do or say to make me believe in this God, let alone worship it. i wonder why he made me in this way? Destined to burn in Hell and there is nothing i can do about it.

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy !
Yes, it's been quoted on here countless times, but I couldn't resist.

Try harder next time.
Answer - No, because he wasn't real.
I don't need to try harder, the quote was comedy gold in the first place
I meant " Try harder to resist":)
Ah, in which case it's already too late ;-)

Jesus "was raised bodily to heaven by God":

Load of nonsense.as is all religion.
And yet that's what presumably happened.
Probably called another carpenter to give him a hand. There wasn't any pesky assisted dying law in the olden times.

Sorry, haven't got time to answer this as I'm rubbing a balloon on some fabric in order to create an image of a nuclear reactor.
The basic flaw in THIS particular debate is in the first four words of the sentence.
