this is one of the mystery's that I have mentioned in the long running thread but I thought I would give an update.
Luke vanished in Ipswich in 2006, sadly the same year the prostitutes were murdered.
Today they have arrested a man (40years old) and are searching his prevous residence in Rendlesham.
Lukes's disappearance often baffled me as it appeared he just disappeared off the face of the earth. He reminded me of my brother.
His mother has campaigned for better rights for missing peoples families, and attended downing street with other families (including the McCann's) with a petition.
There is a link her http://m.eveningstar.co.uk/content/ipswichstar/news/story.aspx?id=1.1422899 but it was from the mobile site so may not work.
My thoughts are with his mother.

I have wondered over the last six years what happened to Luke Durbin. Like you, his disapperance has baffled me too. Ipswich is not a very big town and it always amazed me that he just totally seemed to disappear after a Thursday night on the town.
His mother must have worked so hard to keep his story in the media and like you say, she has done so much campaigning for the rights and families of missing persons.
My thoughts are with his family and friends tonight, especially his mum and sister.
Just edited to add a link to the story, as the OP's link isn't working:
