My cousin has one of these TV's and though she can access the internet wirelessly, she doesn't seem able to connect to her PC, (unless the connection is already made, but hiding somewhere! ).
I've had a quick look at the PDF manual, and got hoplessly lost! This TV is much more advanced than my Sony Bravia.
Could it just be that she has to somehow "navigate" to her PC?
If so, can someone post an idiot's guide on how to achieve it, so I can relay the information to her?

Possibly a DNLA server such as Serviio needs to be installed (and configured) on the PC so that the network/TV can "see" the files on the PC.

Thanks mac2708, I use that excellent software on my PC in order to be able to play more than the one video file type Sony seem to want the world to use!
I noticed from my brief look at the Samsung manual that they suggest that conflicts might arise from using "non samsung" DLNA software, so I think it would probably be safer to first "find" the PC via the TV's own software, .....if anyone can guide me how to find it!

If the TV requires DLNA software to be running on the PC then chances are it will never see it if no such software is running.

If that is the case then you will be hunting from now till a week next Christmas and still be unable to find the PC from the TV. So install a DLNA server on the PC and that should make things a tad easier.

Whatever, a DLNA server, as stated, must be running on the PC

Mind you, trying to find any help on Samsung's sites is something else

Thanks guys, but I really can't believe that a brand new "£1200 plus" TV still needs additional software present in order to communicate with a PC.
My own Sony TV which was about the same price two years ago, established contact out of the box with both my router and my PC.
I'm running Vista Ultimate which has both Windows Media Player, and Windows Media Centre software loaded.
It seems that "Media Player" is the medium which the PC uses in order to stream data to the TV.
No additional software was required to achieve this, and the necessary connections were all made automatically.
