Martin Kemp's fake posh accent.

Well, it's a posh accent, and it's fake. That's all I wanted to say really.

It sounds pretentious and fake. It's not his natural accent. He got the Kray gig for a reason.

This is a weird thread - Martin has ALWAYS spoken like this. His accent is neither fake nor posh.

He doesn't sound posh to me, not at all. He sounds the same as he always has - as Reggie, as Steve, as Martin.

He's a good North London man with a North London accent, that's it, no more.

His accent has always been the same.

Not all Londoners talk as if they come from the east end. My mother was born in Kilburn and brought up in Cricklewood. She classes herself as a Londoner but would probably sound out of place in Albert Square

He doesn't to me. Forced la de dahness going on there, don't know why. Listen to him next time.

I really like him by the way, just felt like discussing the fakeosity of his strange pseudo posh accent. No biggie.

I thought the same at first (that he was faking an accent) but I think it's because I for one am used to seeing him on eastenders and he probably puts on a more cockney accent for that.

He's from islington which is quite a nice part of town, (i'm also from there) it's not the east end or south london so he wouldn't have a strong cockney accent or anything but it's not exactly "posh"

I used to live in North London (Camden) they don't sound anything like that over there.
