Some great lines tonight. Those bloody Take a break ads are shocking.

Doug Stanhope talking about intervention was funny, but sad at the same time.

I thought it was very good overall and we were certainly laughing all the way through.

I really enjoyed the section on Mr Selfridge. The description of the way the shop assistants were dressed was hilarious.

    Funnier than last week!

God I hate those take-a-break adverts

I was a little disappointed tonight. Nowhere near as good as last week and the film review section is shit.

Good stuff in general again, with the adverts being the standout. The film chat was still pointless and unnecessary.

No mention of Philippa Langley. There's a missed opportunity.

Pretty much every artist endlessly repeats himself.

Very few artists continually come up with new stuff.

Unless you can name an infinite list of artists continually coming up with new material all the time that is.

spot on jack benny famous comic of the 30s 40s 5os 60s and 70s had one joke ,meaness

Enjoyed this again tonight, but the film bit wasn't as strong as last week, and a little out of place again - have to say ten minutes after watching it, i'd forgotten what film they reviewed...but that's probably more my memory :p

Doug Stanhope was very good again, not so much the other two compared with last week. Some top lines though (most already mentioned on here) :)

    I agree with you.
Cut the film review thing. Leave that for Film 2013. And just get Screenwiping again.
What I loved about Screenwipe and Newswipe is that they had a lot more focus on the absurd world of television. That's where most of the laughs come from with me.

Doug Stanhope is good. As is Barry Shitpeas and Philomena Cunk, Keep them they're good. They provide good little breaks that help the pace, who can forget Barry Shitpeas' 'Sick on a Widow'? But I'd rather do without the other extra little filler things that leave less time for television clips where we got such gems as 'The 10 Biggest Cocks of Advertising'.
However Adam Curtis' short films that occasionally make an appearance would certainly still be welcome.

The format has changed, and not for the better. But there's plenty still in there to still make this a very good programme.

I just want to add one thing. I wouldn't mind there being a film section in there....as long as it was Charlie giving it the Screenwipe treatment.
But that doesn't appear to be what he's doing with it. I could quite happily accept the film section if Charlie was picking out select video clips from it and extracting subversive humour out of it.

    Great show.
    Much better than last week's.
I agree the film review section is the weak link though.

Great show, but they should dump the film review segment.

I'll forever think of our Mel as a 'cheerful oak tree' now.
