Set up LG soundbar

I got a new LG NB3730a soundbar for Christmas , but I can't find the set up menu . It's supposed to appear after initially powering the soundbar on but the manual is so vague that it doesn't specify whether the menu appears on the soundbar screen or the TV . Also it appears to suggest that I needed to press some button on the remote when the welcome screen on the soundbar appeared but each time I switch on it skips past the welcome screen . I need to reset it I think but unplugging doesn't seem to do anything . Thanks

    I've just had a look at the manual and if you are skipping the start up you need to press the "info/menu" button on the remote.

    The simple stuff is where to start and make sure you have connected and selected the correct HDMI input on your TV.

    The problem was that I connected it by optical cable , it was only after reading the above post for around 3 days that I realised it wasn't connected by HDMI :blush:
