I think in the fashion circles its known as colour blocking - thing is, colour blocking is a bit 'last season' She has a lovely figure though good for her

    Talking of colours and clothing,
I had a fallout with a friend discussing the following phrase. I say "blue & green should never be seen"
    she says
"Thats wrong! - its Red and green should never be seen"

I think mine is the right version

Well her skirt's a warm red and her top is a cool pink, so they clash.
The saying is "Red and Green" should never be seen except on an Irish Beauty Queen

Both are right so make friends with your mate!....:p

Blue & Green should never be seen without a colour inbetween.

Red & Green should never be seen except on the dress of an Irish Queen.

There is an advert where the model has the b=very same colours as Emma tight, It cold be the same dress..Vile in my opinion wouldn't be seen dead in this! Just because some fashion designer says it is cool doesn't make it so:p

Nope....It comes from a Shipping Rhyme.

If you can see your red (or green) light and the other ships red (or green) light, you are passing in opposite directions. If one is red and one green, you are travelling in the same direction, possibly at an angle to each other, and may collide.

So no red & green....Superstition....Bad Luck.

Blue & Green is more to do with fashion & colour clashing. Hence the colour inbetween.

It's Red and Green should never be seen. That's what I was taught in primary school about 60 years ago. The Queen also said it in a documentary shown a few years ago as she was preparing to give her Christmas broadcast. She said it because the wallpaper was green and her dress was red, but added "I'm not going to change, though!"

Perhaps just avoid green altogether Miss Dee. :)

She's only modelling the colours, and if you look at her again, you'll see the pink and red are seen separately. I wouldn't wear them together, but somehow they seem to be ok on Emma. :)

Depends on colour blindness. Red & Green, it comes from our nautical history as an Island race, if you see Red and Green you are seeing both Port & starboard navigation lights of a ship heading directly toward you....

We used to say blue and green should never be seen, except with a colour in-between.

With regard to Emma's outfit tonight, I love the red and pink combination; it depends entirely on the shade of colours really, I thought she looked good.

ETA: It was nice not to see her in black again!
