Some of the spoilers don't make much sense
In the initial report it said who ever sets fire to the house will be left distraught when they realise the impact their actions have on the victim.
We now know the victim is Kat and further spoilers say this:
''In the aftermath of the blaze, it will transpire that though the arsonist knew that Kat’s twin boys Bert and Ernie were in the house along with their dad Alfie, Stacey and her daughter Lily, Big Mo and little Tommy, he/she wasn’t aware that Kat was in the house…"
So who ever starts the fire is perfectly happy to let 3 adults and 4 children die but will be left distraught by the injuries Kat sustains.
What am I missing here?! why would the person who starts the fire only be concerned for Kats safety and none of the others?
At first I thought could Ryan start it but Ryan wouldn't make much sense in light of the new Kat situation.

It is a bit odd, I don't get Alfie doing it for the insurance as some have suggested. He only rents the house from the council so while they can claim for household insurance it wouldn't give them that much and they would be homeless with no guarantee that their next council home would be in a decent condition for them.
Alfie's in the house apparently
Or Aleks, but I can't think why he'd want to spare Kat. Maybe he likes looking at her boobs when she works on the market or something.
Oh god I hope it's not Ronnie, I think EastEnders want to forget the Baby Swap as much as the rest of us do.
Ronnie was on Stacey's side last time though, I can't see her changing her mind so much that she'd want her dead.
I really doubt the fire episodes are next week, for one surely they wouldn't let the fire episode clash with Emmerdale. Also, Bianca gets the duff duff the next episode which would seem a bit odd if the fire is the major storyline, also people are having a barbeque on the Friday which again seems odd to having if a fire took place on the square two episodes before.
I still think it's Alfie. He sets the fire knowing that'll be safely able to escort everyone out of the house, claim insurance and since he's also inside with everyone - has a perfect alibi. He just won't know Kat is also upstairs or something.
Possibly, but it seems like an odd day to have it given that it's the lowest rated day. I'd say next week will be the build up and the fire will be on Monday 8th (although that's up against an England qualifier.)
How would you know this? You do realise the fire isn't next week? That's the furthest the credits go! I can't see why big mo wouldn't be involved now she's a regular cast member again? Jean could also be involved you never know...
The Queen Vic fire was at the end of the first week if September, and the Phil accident last years, with thingy, was also that week.
My mistake.
Bingo!!! I think you just came up with what happens. I think Vald is correct also. Alfie sets fire to the house thinking he knows who is inside so can get them out but Kat has returned without him realising hence her getting hurt and his plan going tits up!
Very controversial in light of the Philpotts but I can see DTC doing it and its the only thing that now ties in with the spoilers.
Why on earth would Alfie endanger the life of his kids like that? And also, where is the source of these "spoilers"
I think it is because a lot of posters on here seem to hate Alfie, for some unknown reason, and would want every disaster to have him involved in it.
If a TV was to blow up in a house, most DS users would want Alfie, to stick both of his fingers in a electronic socket, and then they could blame him.
Personally Alfie is one of my favs.
