Matilda - great film. The scene with Miss Trunchball trying to find her and Miss Honey in the house is terrifying.

Seen quite a few films over the last few days so I'll just quickly skim over them:

Scarface - Camp performance by Al Pacino isn't enough to make this a great movie. 6/10

Donnie Brasco - Great portrayal of the underside of the mob world. Pacino and Johnny Depp are great together. 8/10

Run Lola Run - Characters are shallow in a admirably stylish and fun ride. 6/10

Yossi - A sweet (if contrived) story about a depressed gay Israeli doctor who finds love. 8/10

Downfall - A great portrayal of Hitler's final hours. Great performance by Bruno Ganz. 9/10

The Human Centipede: Full Sequence - I didn't think I'd be able to see the sequel but curiosity got the better of me lol! I'll see the 3rd just for the sake of completion. 2/10

Sex and Lucia - A rather stuffy but erotic romantic drama. 5/10

Arbitrage - Great film about greed with a terrific central performance by Richard Gere. Ending wasn't well handled at all though. 8/10

A Joan Fontaine/Alfred Hitchcock Double Bill.

    Rebecca (1940) 8/10
    Suspicion (1941) 8/10

Despite its cop-out ending I still enjoyed 'Suspicion' a little bit more.

    Frankenstein's Army
I notice it on Netflix USA last night, and thoughts that sounds so silly, one of Asylum or Uwe Boll's films(I hate them) so just for a laugh I give it a try for few mins.

The film on a group of Russian soldiers out on a search-and-rescue mission in Germany during World War II. They stumble upon a desolate factory, go inside to investigate, and discover the Nazis' sickest plan:

But I got hooking into the film! And finish watch it last night, and it was so awesome film! Very insane! And very cult film. I gotta to say the acting is bit silly, but the monsters is great! And what a production! Will kept eye on the director for more films from him!

    With monsters
it feelings like playing Bioshock, see Big Daddies.

I love it too. It is one of the small handfull of movies I can watch any number of times.
Snappy dialogue and highly realistic footage of the newspaper offices and print rooms. Filmed at the premises of the great campaigning newspaper that was The Daily Express.
I say was, as this was before it turned into the porn Barrons play thing that it has become.
Arthur Christianson the Daily Express editor in real life played himself, and did very well for a non actor. The footage of the old Battersea fun fair is a treat for any one who remembers it as it was. The science doesnt stand up of course but a cracking fast paced yarn none the less that could teach a lot to the CGI obsessed studios now. Priorities the right way round.
    1 Great Script
    2 Great actors
3 Great special effects ( for its day)
Sadly nowadays they seem to stack in the reverse order.

Did you notice Peter Butterworth of Carry On fame as one of the reporters ?..small cameo but interesting ! ..and of course Michael Caine as the policeman traffic cop in the smog in one of his first films !

Woman in Black - and it scared the bejesus out of me. 9/10. I knocked a point off as although I think Daniel Radcliffe played the part very well, he was much too young.

Yep agree great film but should have been a 15 to match the brilliant book ! ...and like many others Radcliffe looked too young !..loved Janet Macteer as the unhinged Mrs Daily !...great acting performance ..should have had a bigger part !

Bernie 8/10 - Jack Black, Mathew McConaghy and Shirley McClaine in a very watchable tale which gives Jack Black the chance to move out of his comfort zone a little (if not completely) - I really enjoyed it.
Third Star 7/10 - fairly low budget Movie starring Tom Burke and Benedict Cumberbatch, about four guys, one of whom is terminally ill, going off on a lads' camping trip.
A really engrossing film which I didn't think was as depressing as one might expect, given the subject matter.

I'm not keen on superhero movies in general but this was better than most efforts.
