On popjustice a member (Visilios) who has heard some of the demos has described it as 'Crying For No Reason'/'With Every Heartbeat' and went on to say 'amazing electro break up anthems'
Now, that's so exciting! Absolutely love both tracks - sounds so promising, hopefully we can hear something soon.
Could you give us the link of that post, I would like to see it.
Hopefully electro doesn't mean he is relying too much on electronic music, that he will do it with class. I have faith in that. Besides, he did describe his music as pop/soul so hopefully this sound will be more present than electronic.

ACT: Markus Feehily
WHY: I've always wondered why there wasn't a really male popstar who'd somehow managed create the same delicious magic stardust which fuelled the comets of Robyn and Mary J Blige, combine the two and festoon himself with the glorious afterglow of such a dyadic collision. I thought perhaps for one moment Sam Smith may lead me down that rather interesting path. He sadly hasn't. I gather however Markus has taken on the challenge with immense gusto and as such I can't wait to hear and see him take to the stage in March when he finally unveils his hotly anticipated new sound. Gonna be a good'un.
SOUND: Not yet.

That sounds promising. So far I haven't heard one bad or even mediocre thing regarding Mark, some nice buzz is happening around him which is great. I really think he has a real chance on having a very successful career.
At least you're not one of these who bite back ^_^
Well there is no point in arguing when I simply pointed that people are interested. Mark is starting slow which is a smart thing to do since he hasn't even released a single, let alone the whole album. And the fact that people are interested despite that is a good thing, not to mention all those positive articles about his music that are creating a buzz.
Mark was on Irish radio station tonight - he unfortunately hasn't mentioned any release date, he just said its going to be very soon but he did imply its possible he will introduce a song around the gig time.
Also, it is interesting he mentioned his music will be soul, RnB, but mainly pop - he hasn't mentioned electronic music at all. So I trust him more than what the media is reporting.
He will be on the radio tomorrow as well so I'll let you know if anything new comes up.

Actually, the information included on the Scala website or the Olympia Theatre is official information most likely given by Markus / his management to be published. My guess is his music will be soulful / pop but may have elements of electronic influences here and there on some songs. I hope we can find out soon.
Markus was on Today FM earlier and he said that a lot of his big influences would be Soul, RnB and Gospel but he's worked with producers who are a little bit more electronic and quite dark. He also said that the songs are a little bit dark but also have uplifting, positive sound to them.
Sounds very exciting, lets hope we get to hear soon!
I wonder if he'll sell copies of his single from the burger van he works in.
Don't know if this is a genuine joke or a snide comment, but ok. He isn't working in it, he started the whole thing, it is his side project, his business.
And I actually wanted to comment anyway that is is ridiculous how the media is spinning this story - they all sound shocked and they report like his career went so downhill that he is selling crapes and tea in the van which is just ridiculous.

Well to be fair, he IS selling crepes and tea in a van. He might own the business, but he is doing that on the side.
It's really annoying how most media sources make it sound as if he's changed career or some mention he's been struggling with his music career... How can one struggle with something they have not even unveiled yet is beyond me. He's been working on his music since Westlife broke up and he's a person who takes music seriously and wanted to spend time on it rather than just setting a date and releasing whatever. He is a creative person and only started his side project in December... It's ridiculous how media make it all sound as if he's only been doing that since Westlife broke up.
Back to his music, he was in the studio with MOJAM (they've worked with Emeli Sande, Katy B, Professor Green, Jess Glynne, Rizzle Kicks, Naughty Boy and more). MOJAM tweeted: "@MarkusFeehily absolutely smashing it in the booth right now. Insane vocals"
Ok, now you are obviously mocking the guy which I don't understand why. He isn't doing this because he lost his money and he has nothing better to do. He IS recording the album, this is just something on the side like a hobby.
He isn't in the van all the time working from 9 to 5, he just comes by once in a while to see how the things are going since he started the project. The media is just spinning this around like he is pathetic, that his career failed. The truth is, he hasn't even started his career yet.
If you don't like him, thats perfectly fine. But don't believe what the media is blabbing about, this isn't his real job at all.

Yes, one is by Katy B and the other by Robyn

Had much to talk about today with @Do_OneMusic @MrSteveAnderson @akapaolo .....New Year,Next gear ! xMx
and Steve Anderson replied back:
So thrilled that 2015 is the year everyone can hear what @MarkusFeehily has been up to - one of my favourite things I've ever worked on
Aaaah, I can't wait, give us something already, I'm getting impatient!
I’m bored in a hospital and I’ve decided to announce that I’ll be making a big announcement reasonably soon, like definitely in the next two months. Mx
So its like he basically said that sky is blue:D
His record company also said that is due popular demand.
I'm glad the people are so interested!
It's only Ireland. Don't get too excited.
I didn't get too excited, don't worry - but it does show that people ARE interested since he added 2 more gigs while he planned to do 1.
At least you're not one of these who bite back ^_^
Scotland too, Glasgow isn't too far away from me so I'm really tempted by that.

Looking forward to hearing the result.
one of the best string/choir sessions I've ever produced - wow @MarkusFeehily @cliffmasterson
While Mark's management posted this on Facebook:
"So this happening yesterday!!!!... @MarkusFeehily's debut single is coming very soon!!"
I'm really hoping he will release it before the gigs - I think that would be wise because people would know what to expect at his concerts.
Also, it is interesting he mentioned his music will be soul, RnB, but mainly pop - he hasn't mentioned electronic music at all. So I trust him more than what the media is reporting.
