Updating Tomtom Device

Hey ,
I recently purchased a Tom Tom XL but i'm having problems updating it the latest software the maps are all up to date but i cant seem to update it to the latest software.
Ive tried contacting Tom Tom by phone but they are always busy when i contact them ive even been waiting for as long as 45 minutes.
Can Anyone can help me out on this ?

If the answer to both these is yes then when you plug the TomTom into the PC via USB, fire up Home it should search automatically for any updates. That will include software updates.

NB different models have slightly different versions of software.
And where on earth did you find a phone number for them!?! They don't usually let us mere mortals actually speak to a real person at TomTom
And has you have discovered TomTom Customer Service is the definition of an oxymoron. And I speak from bitter personal experience! :mad:
