I think Goro in Shenmue deserves a prize for being so monumentally annoying. In fact most of the characters in that game are because of the sh*t Western voice actors!
Also any game that has some sort of teleporting antagonist - annoying.
you maybe talking about the mission im still stuck on ... its sat on the shelf for a while as i cant bring myself to bother with it

Yep exactly that one. Badly flawed !. However the Game of the Year Edition is out now. If you get it provided you still have your data saved u will be transported straight to that mission . They have patched it so that the Butchers don't appear (as they were a total bitch). And generaly less zombies (I have now completed it).
I've just completed Infamous (yes about 100 years later than everyone else) saw this thread and immediately thought "Zeke", jeez never thought anyone would beat GTA4s Roman at annoying commentary during missions but he manages it!
Plus Aries (Final Fantasy) from whatever Squeenix thing she's in.

American trying to put on a slightly standard classical (British) accent in order to make it "fit the period"? Didnt work at all and just came across as lazy production.
Going straight to the top of my list are the groups of kids on the streets, in Boston and New York in "Assassins Creed 3".
Not only do they giggle insanely, follow you about, and get in your way on missions .... but they go "Whop, whop, whop" and sound like they're going to break into Gangnam Style.!!
Are you talking about Raiden who in one game (Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty) destroyed more Metal Gears than Solid Snake ever did in his entire career?
Ahh, but they were the weaker Mass Produced RAYS piloted by an A.I. affected by a Virus.
It's an interesting subject, but the MG's at the end of MGS2 are just mere weaker copies, the main Marine RAY unit escapes and doesn't get destroyed until MGS4 when it's Snake who takes it out when piloting an overclocked REX.
