Damn it! Thats just ruined my hopes of getting this story next year, I've been waiting years for 'Terror of the Zygons' to come out on DVD, and now I've got to wait yet another year...

    !:)

certainly agree with you when ever we do eventually get Rerror of the Zygons, i'm just amazed it's taken so long to be released onto DVD, especially when you consider it was one of the first stories to be released onto video.

My copy is also on order. My all time least favourite DW story. I wonder if I can get through it, one episode at a time?!

I can't remember it being that bad. Anyway, watched the first two episodes on DVD last night and thought it was really good. Great acting and Delgado still to come. Far better, for example, than the similar style / period The Mutants. Maybe it goes seriously bad in the next four episodes, but so far so good.

Crikey Moses, it's dreary. Beige. There are a lot of filing cabinets. There's a shootout in a room 10ft square. There's a wet quarry. the Doctor is arrested by some Bad Guys, but still gets to drive the Bad Guys Jeep thing. It's cold and damp and unwelcoming. Best watched one episode at a time.

Gail from Corrie is quite sweet though.

I watched it two episodes at the time :o

I found the documentary more interesting than the actual story.

I didn't mind Colony In Space as much as I feared so I thought I'd catch up on some other Pertwee DVD's I'd bought but hadn't got around to watching. Sadly Planet Of The Daleks & The Mutants were every bit as bad as I remembered - Colony is certainly a step above those two!

Hey guys, look at this rough artwork for 'The Daemons' DVD cover:
    http://twitter.com/#!/classicdw/status/126334936088190976/photo/1

They have obviously used the 'Planet of the Spiders' DVD cover as a template!:D

Unfortunately, the 'Return to Devil's End' documentary will not be included: https://twitter.com/#%21/classicdw/status/126342618417348610 Does anyone know why this is, do the BBC not have the rights for it or is it something else?

Nevertheless, I am still looking forward to this coming out next year!:)

The only thing I'm not keen on is Jon Pertwee wrapped up in paper, its not really portraying the Doctor in an heroic way...

Return to Devil's End is a Reeltime film, so the BBC won't have the rights to it. Same as the American Silver Nemesis docco seemed like an obvious candidate for DVD but actually wasn't on the DVD.

A shame that Hartnells and Pertwees have been left to the end of the DVD release, just as they were with the VHS releases.

The Third Doctor never looked anything other than heroic....

I'm hoping that the BBC will be able to come to a deal with Reeltime to include it otherwise we'll have to buy it separately.

Whatever the BBC produce it won't have Jon Pertwee in it or Nicholas Courtney (unless its already been done) so it would be a real shame if they didn't include it.
I've seen Keith Barnfathers name on some of the BBC DVD documentaries so hopefully he will be able to join forces.

Its a great piece of work and now even more important that 2 of them are gone and if Reeltime sell it themselves it means far fewer people will get to see it than it deserves.

At the very least , a BBC dvd version will be able to insert the proper episode clips rather than rely on the photo album that Briggs took with him.

Yes, if you look at the large version of the picture, it is clear that the person working on the cover was also watching neighbours on Channel 5's website!

I've now seen Colony. Yes. Dreary. Not a bad story, just too long (wet and grey). Delgado the business as usual. I'm sure that Gail from Corrie said at one point in response to the latest catastrophic turn of events for the colonists "never mind, Jim'll Fix It!". (I was nodding off a bit in places and in no mood to rewatch any of it to check). She must have been a tonic keeping their spirits up with quips like that. :)

On their return to UNIT HQ the Doctor explains to Jo that as far as the Brigadier is concerned (something like) "we've hardly been away any time at all." Lucky old Brig. :o

Actually I still enjoyed it for what it was....but such a slog.

Just watching the extras on Colony In Space and noticed that the copyright on the Cutting Room Floor footage was "2012". Most odd.

Pyramids of Mars doesn't look significantly better on the SJA series 4 bluray than on it's own dvd release, if anyone was wondering, I just checked.
