I couldn't confirm this on google, there was apparently a hoax going round.

Apparently him and his wife moved to a care home for entertainers but not sure about him dying?

Shame he seemed like a decent chap. Mind you 90 is not a bad age though. RIP Dickie.

That's a shame, great actor. He lived a long life though.

ETA: noticed posts about no confirmation, if true my post stands, if not, always best to await confirmation. Given the OP its probably true though.

It's on BBC breaking news so I assume it's true.

RIP Richard - poor David will be utterly devastated. :(

He was utterly chilling as the serial killer John Reginald Christie in 10 Rillington Place.

I thought that was perhaps the stellar performance of his career.

The actor right? Was he David Attenborough's brother?

He was very good and very creepy in the film '10 Rillington Place'

Caught him in The Great Escape earlier as I was flicking through the channels. He achieved so much.

    RIP Dickie

I think 'Pinkie' in Brighton Rock was his greatest performance......but he was in some terrific films

Was he also Director general of the BBC at one point ?.......or maybe Head of BBC Television, something like that......

He and his poor wife never recovered from losing their daughter and granddaughter in the tsunami. They sold their house and really moved away from public life after that.

    Very sad.
