Last time I saw a 'final' episode it was the one that ended with the two women in different elevators and Bill having a choice which one to go with.

I've no idea what Second Thoughts is (and there's an ITV 3 now?), but usually when a TV channel shows the same series' over and over, whilst ignoring other series', it's because they don't have the rights to show the other stuff. It could be there's another channel showing series 4 and 5 over and over and seemingly ignoring 1 - 3. A channel might have paid for the right to show a series unlimited times over, say, a two year period, or they can only run it a certain number of times. Once the time or repeat limit is reached, the rights revert back to the rights holder, and it's up for grabs again to the highest bidder (or whatever the criteria is).
