  Yes I think he is still ill. Shame as it affected his vocals but he carried on true professional which is how it should be.
  
  Sad for him though as it cannot be easy to sing with such a bad throat and he did look in pain at the end of the song.

  Based on his vocals I would assume so. He was haing difficulty with notes he would have hit easilly a few weeks ago.
  
  Just hope this is temporary and that this competition hasn't damaged his voice.

  No, he's just not as good as some people think. He's only really good with a specific few songs, with every other song, he's hit bum notes, even before his "illness".
