No I haven't. Don't think I ever will either. There are plenty of other better books to read which aren't the rabid rantings of a self-obsessed psychopath.

    Before what?

Anyhow, my Mother has read it, but I haven't. All she said about it, that I can recall, was that it was long!

I used it as a source for an essay at uni, and its pretty hard going as its not particularly well written.

If you want to read it as an autobiography as opposed to trying to understand his beliefs and thoughts you're best off reading Ian Kershaw as he has written a very good biography and often talks about Mein Kampf.

It's on my cookery shelf because it tells me how to extract the juice..

You should have put it in the Albert Hall, especially considering that his mother was a dirty bugger who cut it off when he was small.

I must say I did find the ending to the book quite troublesome.

I`ve read the autobiography of the man who invented the concentration camps... Winston Churchill.

I think it`s important to understand all these horrible men if we get the chance.

It's Dub2, either the most dedicated troll in DS history or someone with a serious case of anglophobia.

Old Winston wasn't a particularly good man of course, quite a brutal one in fact, and he certainly made use of concentration camps in the Boer War, but he clearly didn't "invent" them.

Oh dear! Classic 14 year-old's error. The concentration camps used during the Boer War were designed to 'concentrate' the rural population and deprive the Boers of support. The people in them were well-housed and cared for. Nothing whatsoever to do with the death camps used by the Nazis in WWII.

Perhaps you'll tell us all about the evil British Empire next...
