I appreciate this may be controversial as she considered a bit of a legend but I absoloutley despise the character and I always have. She's an awful sour faced sanctimonious cow who only ever thinks of herself. This latest surrogacy storyline is the latest in a long line of selfishness from Libby. The way she's behaving is pathetic, she's lucky enough to already have Ben, but its not enough.
Then there was the time she ruthlessly pursued Dan knowing he was married to Sam, and she showed a total disregard for her mental health problems.
I think those years when Libby was living with Darren in the middle of nowhere were the best for Neighbours because Libby wasn't in it. I wish she'd leave again.

Haha, yeah, I've wondered that too. You'd think she would be grateful to have at least one child (even if it is Ben).
If you want to talk about selfishness take one look at Bridget Parker and that "exhange student" Sunny! Don't even get me started on how mad they make me
I dislike Bridget Parker as much as the next person, but she's not a selfish sour faced sanctimonious bint like Libby.
Well IMO Bridget is one of the most selfish characters in the history of soap. If I went into it, we'd be here all day - for more info refer to the "FFS Neighbours: Get rid of Bridget!!!" thread
I just don't see how wanting to have a baby is selfish at all just because she already has Ben does not make her void of the desire to have another kid....
No but her ruthless persual of another baby when she's blessed to already have one child does make her seem pathetic and very selfish. Some people don't even have that.
Her face was tripping her yesterday over the surrogacy setback and I was wondering who was looking after Ben while his mother was wallowing in self-pity.
Right but I'm sure she's fully aware of the fact that she's lucky to have Ben but the fact is Libby and Dan have the right to have a baby - particularly Dan who otherwise wouldn't have one of his own would he? And personally if I was treated so unfairly by the hospital I would do everything in my power to get justice. It's wrong what the hospital have done. I just think its harsh and unfair for people to judge someone who wants to do something as harmless as bring their baby into the world whether it be another one or not. The fact that she's going to this length shows how passionate she is about having another baby. I know of a couple who had four sons but desperately craved a girl aswell - they went to great lengths to have that girl with the mother giving birth to three more sons, and then having to seek surrogacy because Doctors said her body couldn't cope with pregnancy anymore. She went through hell and back all for the dream of having a little girl, and just to see the look on her and her husbands faces when that girl was born made all the ruthless pursuit worth it in my opinion.
When it comes to children, I don't begrudge anyone doing what they have to do to have one, whatever the cirumstances but thats just me....
Oh god no! Steph and Drew would not have worked! IMO Libby and Drew were perfect for eachother, and if I remember correctly it was Drew who was hopelessly in love with Libby first so really he got his claws into her and not the other way round.
Steph's sudden whining about how much she loved Drew really got on my goat the other day. She seems to have forgotten how much she loved Max! They were the perfect couple and the only reason Neighbours so STUPIDLY made him lose his memory and leave and stuff is because the actor wanted to leave - otherwise I really believe Max Hoyland was her Drew Kirk of that era. Two days after she moans about how perfect Drew was she suddenly finds she fancies Lucas aswell who incidentally is already with someone! Seems she's unable to want to get her claws into a man who's actually on the market
Fantastic post!!! I agree!!!!
Although I haven't watched Neighbours since I heard about the surrogace storyline.
Decided to boycott the show.
I agree with that. I don;t like her character, but I don;t want her to leave. It'd be nice if they could admit she's not perfect every now and then, though.
Libby's never been the mumsy type so why she suddenly wants more babies is beyond me. She acts as if she's the only woman in the world who can't have kids.
I'm not even going to start on how horrible she was to Sam, she was down with Bridget as my least favourite character throughout that phase, she's slowly sliding back down there now though, but Bridget still is the queen of Selfish, Libby is starting to rival her again in terms of self-righteousness and being judgemental
She's become a real self-centred cow.
Also, when did Karl change his mind and suddenly decide he was supporting the plan??
I'm not really enjoying this storyline, Libby is being far too annoying. The way she is demanding things and blaming everyone else without any consideration for others is ridiculous. Have they even explained to Ben whats going on?
The only positives with this is the increase in screen time of Karl and Susan. I loved the blue box stuff - that was hilarious
I thought that as well. For years all we had was Libby muttering about how she wanted to be a journo, so how come all of a sudden journos are the scum of the earth????
I still hate Angelo more than her though.
How are they going to do that?
Also the way Karl & Susan have been carrying on, how do you know Susan's not already up the duff? That would be a good twist.
Does anyone remember in Home & Away Sophie somehow got pregnant for Sally but also got pregnant from Blake at the same time?!
