I don't care to reference the cancer, but what I will say is whenever I see an interview with her she comes across as an incredibly warm, funny and gracious woman. Plus all the celebrities who have met her always seem to sing her praises, which is very rare. I like her.
No celebrity is as beautiful and wonderful as the media hypes them up to be.
Like any female celebrity who relies greatly on her image to remain successful, Kylie seems to be trying to continue to maintain and make the most of her looks.IMO she is doing well.
I bet she is just happy to be alive and have her health and a chance to continue to do what she loves to do. Regardless of wheather she looks terrible or not,or can sing or not, or any of that subjective stuff we all have opinions about, the woman has accomplished quite a lot, seems to appreciate the luck involved as well, and I respect her for it.
I'm not a fan and sometimes she can be a tad irritating but for the most part, I agree with you.
Where in my post does it mention accents? I was stating that the princess that is Cheryl Cole is nothing special that she hasn't achieved by makeup, money and botox too, except unlike Kylie she has a nasty streak that she has shown previously by appearing in court for assalt. I'm no huge Kylie fan, but she has gotten to where she is through 21 years of hard work and not because she was hand picked from a contest, and judging by her live performance on the x-factor last year, hasn't even got the talent to sing live.
I didn't say it did, hence the 'Is this because...' part. One assault charge and you think she's violent? Well, this seems to be the favourite thing to dredge up when people start criticising her. IF she assaulted the toilet attendant, fine - she's done wrong there. She's not been done for anything else though since that.
For as long as I can remember Kylie has been hailed as this uber beautiful godess by the media, someone who men find irresistasble and who women want to be. But I don't think I have ever met a man who fancies her, or a woman who wants to look like her. Ive always thought her sister Dannii was the prettier of the two.
IMHO Kylie is ugly. These days her face barely moves anymore. Her skin is shiney and rubbery looking from all those alleged botox jobs and god knows what other procedures she's had done. She looks like she's been stretched and pulled within in an inch of her life. But even when she was younger she wasn't all that. She's got these massive, horsey teeth that look too big for her face, she's short and has a sparrow like body.
Why are we always told that she's one of the most beautiful women in the world? She's not. I mean I dislike Cheryl Cole, but I can see she's very pretty and I hear people, men and women, saying how pretty she is all the time. But ive never heard anyone saying the same about Kylie. But Its almost like we are not allowed to say a bad thing about her, like she's a saint or something.
Do her people pay the press to be nice about her or something? Madonna gets pulled to bits in the media for allegedly having work done on her face, but Kylie looks even worse and gets away with it.
Kylie is as beautiful as the media portray. She is the best. I like Madonna, but prefer Kylie. I think she is less of a 'threat' than Madonna. There is also a bit of mystery about Kylie which I like.
Kylie has had her fair share of flack in the media. Remember her early Neighbours days, her Stock Aitken and Waterman era (completely unjustified in my opinion) and then in '98 with the flop of her 'Kylie Minogue' (was called Impossible Princess) album.
She had the work done before the cancer - her main problem is too much Botox, much like all the other celeb waxworks. The treatment of Breast Cancer wouldnt cause one of your eyebrows to shoot up almost into your hairline.
No Cheryl Cole fan but she is ok without her slap - just your average pretty lady. She's not looking like a waxwork just yet...
Botox freezes the muscles in the forehead. So This means she wouldn't be able to move her eyebrows.
Kylie's 'Trademark eye brow twitch' was first noticed and quoted in a Smash Hits interview in 1988. WAY before botox had been developed for cosmetic use.
I for one am sick of the negative down right disgusting comments made by some people on this forum about anyone not just La Minogue.
I've met her, my friends have worked with her and really she's a delight.
The problem we have is that people can't quite believe somebody is that genuine and shines such a positive light when she talks to you and is easy to work with to boot.
Is this because the threads authors don't like themselves very much and feel they have to direct their inner anger at somebody who would never bite back?
You should be ashamed of yourselves to level such negative venomous criticism at the door of somebody who only ever wants to make people as happy as she herself is.

Blimey. I had no idea how over protective and sensitive Kylie's fan are:rolleyes::yawn: How's about you learn to accept that not everyone shares your opinion of her, and in fact some even think that she's completley talentless?
If you don't like what's being posted in this forum then don't come in here. It really is that simple, In fact Ive read far worse written elsewhere.
I've never seen the attraction either. She's not bad looking but no beauty queen. Her teeth are huge.
And you are spot on about the media not letting anyone knock her from her pedestal. She believes all the hype and is so self absorbed. I think she's awful
So agree with that.
And I hate her voice, it's like someone on helium.
Care to direct us to some cancer milking article from her??
She hardly said a word thoughout her treatment, and has barely even mentioned it since.
What a ridiculous comment - not yours, the one you quoted. Kylie isn't my favourite performer but she NEVER used her illness to generate publicity. She conducted herself with dignity throughout.

I think Kylie's long enough in the tooth to realise that in her industry, she will ALWAYS be subject to criticism. I think you're being way OTT - not everyone rates her. Personally, I think she's utterly talentless but I do concede that she's been very successful. As for her wanting to make people happy - all she has to do is stop singing and lay off the surgery:D I don't care what anyone says - she's bordering on Bride of Wildenstein territory these days and looks increasingly strange.

I just love the way people always keep things in perspective on here. Well, it makes you feel better to be nasty, then go right ahead. I don't rate her as a singer, but she has had quite a few good songs. She also seems like a genuinely nice person (not perfect, but nobody is).

Thanks for your insight in return - nobody is indeed perfect and I'm glad you highlighted that.
Kylie Minogue has, IMHO, had way too much surgery - she looks waxy and scary. I am not being nasty, I am making an observation based on using my eyes and from there, expressing an opinion.
If it makes you feel better to utter platitudes about Kylie being a nice lady then go right ahead yourself.:)

Platitudes? I assume someone is nice until they do something to prove otherwise. The Bride of Wildenstein wanted to look like a cat; it isn't like she just had one surgery too many. Kylie doesn't look anything like that.

She's not as bad yet - but she needs to be careful because she's going down that route - she looks ghastly.
You say I'm nasty - I say you're using platitudes.
You are nasty - that's a fact which you've demonstrated. I have called Kylie nice, which you have yet to disprove.
She's not nasty. Kylie does look ghastly. Her eyebrow is now permenantly stuck in the middle of her forehead, her skin is like latex. She looks startled all the time.
Well I think she is very pretty. Possibly because I am the same age as her so have aged with her!
I'm older than Kylie and I'm still very fond of her, don't get me wrong. Just - in my opinion - she looked better when she was younger.
See, I was trying to say something nice about her and you've manipulated me into making it sound nasty. Kylie still looks nice, and I'll shut up and stop digging on that thought.
I don't know why you think that. All the evidence points to the opposite. It's part of her appeal that she is down to earth and doesn't take herself too seriously.
Possibly, but I've never heard anybody she has met have a bad word to say about her - or her have a bad word about anybody else.
Oh I don't know about that! (Check the date of this article!!) Kylie loses her cool
And this was BEFORE she became St Kylie, patron saint of oncology

Can women not look beautiful at any age?:p

Oh wow....there is always some sad loser who comes on DS desperate to cause offence. Haha, what a ****

Only if they're Meryl Streep. Apart from her, women look better when they are younger. Sorry, but it's my opinion based on observation.
