This Sonia thing is some misunderstanding, I read about it but I forgot about the reasons for Sonia being in Phil's bed. But it's a plot device to get Shirely to threaten to withdraw her alibi for Phil.
Oh and re: Shirley's (or Linda Henry as that's who people are really criticising) looks: She may not be the best of the bunch but I'd wake up beside her over Sonia any day!

I don't think they did, though they grew closer over Jamie's death and Phil was quite nice to her, if I remember correctly.
Maybe Jamie's grave is vandalised, or something, or Sonia realises she still misses him and they grow closer??
