In no particular order: left school (hated the place), lost my virginity (which was interesting), went to college (didn't like that place) and went to university (loved that).
I also met the love of my life when I saw my first computer in 1982.
I think the 80s were probably the worst decade for movies, hardly any movie from that era are particularly watchable now. The 70s, 90s, 00s has loads of classics for me, Back To The Future is one of the few classics from the 80s, loads of rubbish bubble gum movies, and the emergence of special effects that really look terrible now. One thing the 80s had was some good comedies, with Airplane, Steve Martin, John Hughes, etc.
While American mainstream cinema was pretty generic, there was a strong streak of decent indie, arthouse and foreign films during the 1980s.
And of course, there's Channel 4 that produced a series of fantastic film seasons during the 1980s and early 1990s. I still feel lucky that I was around for those.

The music was fantastic , I really enjoy finding "new" and obscure songs from the 80's.
I'd say it was one of my main hobbies as no other decade touches it variety wise:cool:
