Emmerdale is such a different programme from it's earlier days...can't seem to pinpoint where or when it changed? The 'feel' of the village is not like it used to be. Even the storylines are like they used to be....is it because out going characters over the years have been replaced by non entities?
The reality is lost and has been for a long time.
A bit like Corrie........... characters profess to be poor but can still swan off on holiday at short notice and be gone for weeks, they drive around in top cars and usually almost new ones too, they are forever eating out or in the pub knocking many a glass back, they have always a bottle of wine or several handy (tinnies too).
I could go on.
