Sky + HD Box Brown Bread

My 6 year old Sky + HD box will not come out of standby despite trying all the usual fixes I can find on the internet. I am considering buying a replacement box off Ebay but I am unsure how to proceed with a new box and existing viewing card. I dare say this has been raised lots of times on here but if someone could give me a few pointers on how to go about it, I would be most grateful.

You only need to plug the new box in, put the viewing card in and get it paired to the box.
I'm not sure of the pairing procedure so someone else will have to help you there, but you could just phone sky for help on that too.

You can do it easily on line, using this link https://activatemychannels.sky.com/activate. You have to into your MySky account but then it is easy.
