  A Roku device. It has all the 4 main providers catch up services (and many more). Also it's easy to set up, and use.

  As long as she has an unlimited broadband plan something like a Roku should be fine. If she is on, say, 10GB/Month, she could quickly find herself with charges for going over.

  Just to clarify something.
  
  Do you want an additional box, (such as the Roku mentioned above), just to add streaming/catch up services keeping the Humax for recording duties. Or do you want a replacement for the Humax that does both PVR and catch-up functions in a single box?
