Does anyone really believe that Samantha Brick actually thinks any of this crap she sprouts?
Isn't it more likely that Liz Jones has run her course and that the DM needed another controversial female columnist to get the website hits back up and so they invented this character and Ms Brick is the (un)fortuntunate jouno given the task of being the new hate figure?
I'm sure you're on to something here, but it's probably a symbiotic relationship - the DM get their attention-grabbing troll and SM gets an outlet for her delusions and a chance to have her 15 minutes.
