825 lines scanned on a normal tv

if a normal tv has 825 lines, then if its a small 14" bedroom tv will the picture quality/resolution be better compared to a 32* upwards due to my reasoning that the electron gun has less time to fire on large screen compared to a smaller one.

could someone clarify this for me??

A UK TV has 625 lines, although less than this is actually displayed.

As far as I am aware different sizes of TV have the same number of pixels. This means that whatever the size of TV the exposure time for each pixel is the same. This means that bigger screens have bigger pixels. If you have a 14" portable you can sit a lot closer than you can to a 36" screen before the make up of the screen becomes visible. For this reason it's important to match the size of TV to the room. A huge TV in a small room doesn't make for the best viewing. The quality of the TV makes a big difference as well to the resolution on a quality big screen TV will be far better than a cheap portable.
