New Look Sundays on Radio 2?

I was listening to Steve Wright earlier and one of his guests was Michael Ball.

When Steve brought up the subject of Michael returning to Radio 2 he said that he'd be back in 2013 with a new Sunday evening show that he was developing.

Maybe we could be in line for a bit of a shake up for Sundays in the new year.

You can bet that Steve "love the show" will still be there singing along badly to his "love" songs

Funny if he said " He be back in 2013 with a new Sunday morning show between 9-11am" :D

I would wager a bet he'll probably take over the 7-8.30pm slot rather than it being a big shake up.

Didn't he do the 11am to 1pm slot earliet this year, That seems to be a time limited slot as TW only seems to do it in small stretches.

He used to cover with Sir Terry Wogan wasn't on, until his commitments with theatre got over stretched. Richard Madeley then took over.

I think someone should start a campaign to keep Aled on the Sunday morning show.

You think he's leaving of his own will?

I think you need to tell John, by posting on THIS THREAD. ;)

I assume Mr. Ball is being lined up to replace the show that Alan Titchmarsh did between 7 abd 830. I would be very surprised if the Big band Show and D J Cobs were removed. The 7 to 830 slots have been filled up to now with repeats.

I can see him doing the 7pm-8.30pm slot but probably not all year round, maybe 2 series a year or something like that.

Get rid of elaine paige & put a more mainstream show on from 1-3 on a sunday. Maybe Sounds of the 60's?

I think that they have to have show tunes, however I'd prefer Elaine at 7pm and put Michael straight on after Wogan at 1pm

Sounds of the 60s will not move from Saturday mornings. At least not as long as Brian Matthews is alive.

Probably the Sounds Of The 60's schedule movement campaigners will get there way one day. Saturdays will have a revamp one day, and move the specialist shows to Sundays.

Or at least as long as Brian is presenting it. After that a Tony Blackburn Saturday Breakfast show is the obvious audience inheritance move, possibly incorporating a POTP strand after 0900. Some say it will be SOTS with Tony - I'm willing to predict it won't be.

I think that would sound better.
